2004 JBP Impreza WRX

It is with a heavy heart that I am posting this thread. This car has been so much fun, and made me so happy. But alas, I found the next vehicle that will be better suited for my current needs.it is currently at the FS and GI status.

The story:
I am the second owner of this vehicle. The first owner was a 60 yr old woman who worked for my dad, and took very good care of the car. It was purchased from her in 2008, when she decided that she wanted to upgrade to the new 08 body style. Many of the miles I have put on the car were during college, traveling to and from Decorah, IA to the cities.

About a year ago, the stock motor was replaced, and the new motor, with a 2.1 build, was all done by NF Performance. ( I will post the build link below). It is currently tuned by Nuke with a conservative 93 octane tune, but is fully e85 ready. This car is one that I had hoped would become a long project and continue growing, but at the point I am at now, and going back to grad school, I cannot justify having two vehicles. Beyond that, this car is built and made to be driven. It has been my daily driver, and I have loved it.

I am sure that there is more, I am forgetting, and I will add things as I remember.

The good:
The new motor has about 10k on it and has run very strong with no issues. It was such a great improvement from the stock motor and turbo.
Two sets or wheels, summers and all seasons. Summers are on a set of sport edition A7 rims plastidipped matte black. Winters are on stock wheels, plastidipped gold. I will get tire info up ASAP.
Winter package ( heated seats, mirrors, sunroof, etc.)
New hood and front fenders with in last 3 years due to hail damage, innsurance replace all of it.
This car has never been tracked or raced. I have driven with spirit, but overall babied this car very much.

The bad:
For a 10 year old car, it does have some wear and tear, with nics and bruises. The worst of it is rust starting to form in the rear corners (typical Subaru location) , a door ding I watched a lady give me on the passenger side about a year ago in the Champps parking lot, and a scrape on the front bumper from a snow covered cinder block.
Suspension, I am only assuming, may need attention soon. I have not looked further into it yet, but think that it may.
Trunk does not open with key, only by interior latch. Never looked beyond it to get it fixed, as at one point I thought about trying a back up camera in the key hole.
Undertray/ guard is partially gone, and was never replaced. Still protects major components and has caused no issue.
Window tint is technically illegal in MN but, knock on wood, I've never had a problem from it.




The car has about 124,000 miles on it, and will be growing as it is my daily driver. The new motor has around 10,000 miles on it.

Interior: 8-9/10
Exterior: 7/10

Clean title (in hand)

All maintinence has been performed at Beach's Long Lake Service by ASE certified mechanics, and NF performance since my ownership. Before that I was told the previous owner had the dealer do all routine maintinence.

Please, no low ballers, and no test drives with out cash in hand. I am more than happy to give seriously interested parties rides as well.

I would really like this car to go to a good home, and to someone who will appreciate the vehicle.
I will post pics ASAP as well, with both sets of wheels. As of right now, I am not looking to separate any parts, and would send as many stock parts as I still have with the vehicle.

Have seen this car in person, very nice and clean. Sad to see it go.

 

Just rolled over 125k and will continue to slowly go up as it is still my daily driver. The exact mileage of the rebuilt motor was 109,007. Other things forgot to include is that the car has not been smoked in, and if interested in more photos/specific photos please pm. Hoping to get rust bubbles quoted in the next couple of days.

 

Bump! Just ordered new Stop-Tech pads (front and rear) that will go on ASAP!

Bump to see if there is any GI... a few updates, the suspension has been updated since the original post with KYB Exel-G struts and Mach V lowering springs. Head unit is now a Pioneer 6.7'' LCD with Pandora/Rear view camera capabilities (no blue tooth), and the rust has been repaired on the rear corner panel. The rust on the door was repaired, but will be having a touch up in the near future.

Car is currently sitting at just over 140,000, and about 30k on the NF 2.1 motor.

Forgot to add, I plan to go finalize the new vehicle deal tomorrow, and can get the car held at St. Cloud Subaru for up to a week for a pass through buyer.
