A buddy of mine just opened a shop for HID's + Accessories. I've talked to him personally about a group by for the Subaru community. Group buy, must meet a minimum of 10+ kit's for $34.99 standard and $44.99 for the slim kits. Please include a 7.125% tax. After tax it's $37.48 for the standards and $48.20 for the slims. All our kits are tested in house to ensure 100% functionality and backed by a 1 year warranty. His site: http://www.hidlighting-accessories.com/ contact via pm with any additional questions and we can get this thing rolling for the group buy. also get OEM bulbs too, if needed -Pheng
Too bad I just purchased some HID's for my '07. But I might be buying some for an '04 if I can find some STi housings.
Yes you may just let me know the make and model of the car and I'll give all those info to my buddy. pm me for more info.
According to his site, the slim's are the DDM ones that a person can buy direct from DDM Tunning for $35 for a lifetime warrantied producted vs. purchasing in the group buy for $10 more and only get a 1 year warranty...
With that being siad, my buddy says, "if you can find it for a cheaper price than, buy it from that site. I have it in stock in town."
Also its more convenience for the locals if they were to have any problems with the kit, my buddy will be more than happy to assist with any issues.
DDM (your supplier) features a lifetime warranty.... I'd hope you guys would back that as well, its the same kit. The one time I had an issue they replaced it for free, including shipping..... Even sent me two bulbs, just in case. (A grounding wire was cracked) Haven't had a problem in 2 years, it's a great kit. I highly recommend DDM. http://www.ddmtuning.com/Products/DDM-HID-Kit-Slim-Ballast-35W-or-55W Just Letting you know.
I remember seeing on another thread that bugeyes take a bit more modification then the standard plug and play, and that at the end of the day they usually spray more light then the newer housings, HID Kits on the cheap Great installation guide with pictures From LGT forum There are a few mentions of bugeyes with HID in the first thread, also please do not buy anything hotter then 5k, the 5k's are straight blue, 4500's look stock, mostly white with just a hint of blue. The 10K and 12K's are purple.
Correction: The 6000k bulbs are the ones that are straight blue, the 5000k bulbs have a slight blue hint and the 4500ks are the closest to white like you said
my buddy says, he'll do a one year warranty in the store if you have any problems with them. store location : 303 21st St Suite 102 Newport, MN 55055
anyone have any issues with them in the cold as i know alot of people that have aftermarket hid have issues with them when it gets cold.
pm me your info and how many sets you will like and for what car? payment will be due in the next couple of weeks. i'm still waiting on ppl's replies and waiting off to see if we can get a group of 10+ before i submit a order in to be cheaper. if not then, it'll be the regular price.
I've run three different sets of DDM HIDs (one all winter long) and never had any issues. Install is usually very easy. I would NOT recommend putting them in stock housings. It's very unsafe, a total jerk move and also will not provide the good visibility that a proper HID setup would. Possibly worse than stock in some situations.
i understand they are not optimal for none projector housings but have u seen the price of projector bugeye headlamps lol
yea im aware of the option of building my own..ill prob just stick with the silverstar headlight bulbs i have now until i buck up n get a set of edm or jdm projectors.
ok since theres not much interested in this, you can call up the store or pay them a visit there to get your HIDS to the ones who had contacted me.
