GI... Help with moving HOUSE

Gauging interest to see if there is anyone available possibly late next week...


I am hoping we will have occupancy by Monday or Tuesday... if we do then I will be moving snow, rain or freezing... so pretty much NOW.. ha ha

I know a few people can help after work... I have all next week off (well will be taking it off with newborn) so I will be doing it whether I have help or not... just last time I moved a house by myself cause people were busy and I was impatient I was screwed for 3 days after... but I will do it either way...

Let me know if anyone is possibly available during the days tuesday onwards...



Mostly priority will be moving form my in-laws (like 200ft away to my workshop) then depending on how that all goes I will possibly move form our apartment in Bloomington to Jordan

so if some can help in teh mornings then I do some then, others in the evenings, then I do it then too... ha ha ha

SO today they think we should have our occupancy cert by tuesday afternoon.. which means tuesday evening I can start...

so definitely wed from 8am onwards... ANYONE wanting to help I would love it...

have to figure out our game plan yet... whether to start moving the stuff at the inlaws first or get our townhouse moved down so the wife and kids can go settle in?!?!?!?

 

I can't help durring the day, but if you want to borrow my truck (8' bed and has a topper) let me know.

OK.. so we are free to move in now...

SO tonight I will be moving the stuff from our townhouse to the new house... from about 5pm onwards we will be loading aa truck and 2 trailers... my wife had a baby a week ago so I am trying to avoid her lifting much at all.. she has already been doing too much... m I have so far done my car full and 1 pick-up full... but most of whats left are beds, fridges, couches... and some smaller stuff

I am moving stuff right now form my inlaws garage (next to my new place in Jordan) for a few more hours then heading back to Bloomington

 

make sure the beer is moved in first, that helps relieve some of the pain, lol.

 

If you do that, nothing else gets moved in. Especially if you have help. :ugh:

A HUGE thanks to Bill and Dan for all the help....

huge difference.. I still can barely move and I still have about 3-4 truck loads left... its almost 11am and I am getting going for the day..

I went to bed at 1am last night so that was about 10-11 hrs of moving and got up at 5am this mornig to plow at work...

we got going last night on the last load from the townhouse got 2 mins into the drive and SNOW.. couldnt see a thing driving to my house on the dirt roads.. almost went into the ditch numerous times while my buddy (who I tried to convince to buy a Subaru) was driving the Forester behind me never had an issue... I was driving a 2500 chev pickup and sliding all over the place (with plow but was in 2wd) and when we got to the house he was laughing...

the first words out of his mouth is ... "I LIKE THAT CAR"... mind you he is an old Cowboy who is mid 50's in age... He kept saying.. "I was wondering where you were driving and why you were all over the road.. I was just sitting back driving and watching you"... glad he enjoyed it.. I couldnt see more then 4ft in front of the truck clearly...
