GI: part out-99 2.5RS

ok this just showed up at my local junkyard and they said they would sell the whole car to me if i want it, don't know a price yet so not sure if i'm doing it, i'm going back on thurs and he said he will have a price for me.

it's a 99 2.5 rs, silver, manual, not sure on mileage. hit hard on the drive side(door and rear wheel area) little to no damage up front. has a custom turbo kit on it, (which i might be keeping). i will have pics up in a little bit once i figure out how to get them off my phone.:biggrin: front end is in good shape, hood is in good shape rear spoiler in good shape, taillights i will have more stuff to list a little later, airbags are good too.

so if you need something from it let me know asap, thanks :biggrin:

well these are 17in speedlines and i know 3 are in passable condition not sure it the 4th is bent or not yet, i know it has some pretty bad rash though

 

oh and the front fenders are jdm yo :biggrin: with the sti badge on them. pass side has a small dent on it though

 

I'll take FRONT bumper assembly with those little orange inserts, turn signals, bumper beam. I am also interested in the black inside dash pieces.

BTW, what engine is that? I see a water tank where NA's dont have them. I might be interested in the tranny + rear Diff if its still in good shape.

 

i thought it is just the stock motor, but i couldn't read the number on the timing cover, and i just kinda took a quick peek at his rigged up turbo kit, not sure why the coolant tank is there since the turbo isn't water cooled.

tranny and rear diff should be fine. none of that looks damaged.

 

If you do get it, i have be intersted in the 5speed stuff, and that coolant tank for the turbo.

Oh i almost forgot.. check the brakes as well to see if they are upgraded to wrx brakes(front, back if 4pot 2pot) or H6 rears

 

DANG he beat me to it. I am second in line. (interesed in EVERYTHING except seats.)

I am also interested in the front bumper and fogs.

Wiper arms. (the WRX ones dont work)

Note: the fenders dont have the trim piece on them.

 

trunk stuff not sure how much is good, i couldn't get it open, i think the cables broke.

if i keep the turbo kit i will have to keep the hood, but not decided on if i will keep it or not.

as far as em goes i don't think he was running any, havent looked real in detail yet but i can find out more tomm.

i'm pretty sure the brake are still the rs ones but i didn't look closely.

hopefully he gives me a good price so i can get it and spread the parts along to you guys :biggrin:

looks like i have plenty of interest on this, i will see what i can do tomm to see if i want to pick it up, which i really want to get it, not that i need to have another parts car in my garage since i just got rid of the last one lol:biggrin:

update, the yard owner is sick today so i didn't get a price yet but they have the car on hold for me so noone can sell anything from it until i get a price and make my decision.


k this car is a cobbled together piece of something, lol. stock ecu is gone, rats nest of wires in the glove box for aftermarket em which is also gone.

i thought it was the stock 2.5 motor, turns out its a ej20 not sure of year or anything, so i don't know if the tranny is matching or if it's the 2.5 tranny.

the turbo i am not sure of the brand all i can read is on the comp housing is a a/r 50, it looks to be a good sized turbo, using na manifold custom uppipe, and dp. also it is running a external wastgate.

the wheels i think should be all usable, with obvious curb rash, some of the lower dash pieces and center console are possibly damaged(not sure how bad until i could remove it all.)

this car has been sitting in the local police impound lot for i believe almost 2 years, i have no idea who did this to the car.

i better get a good price on it, or else the junkyard will be selling parts off of it that are not what they should be. they think it is still the stock motor in there with the aftermarket turbo kit.

yes but the junkyard has it as the 2.5, i just noticed that it was a ej20 today and they have the car in there computer already as the stock 2.5 motor.

i have not told them about it being a diff motor yet

 

yep, but the yard thinks it's still a 2.5....so they would be wrong.

I like those wheels! don't really want 17s for winter wheels though...hmmm

also if they want too much for the car i will let you guys know what they want for it and find out what they want for the parts listed that you wanted. either way i am planning on getting the turbo kit, i think the ice racer needs some boost:naughty:

 

^^ good plan. If I get a job I have an interview for on monday I will be buying me a second car so keep your eyes out for a good running, decent looking legacy 5mt with the 2.2l You seem to have good luck finding cars..
