I have two sets of 17" Hoosier Cups. Both are used. Both have a fair amount left on them. They are 225/45/17. Hoosiers run wide so they are really closer to a 245. Didn't know if you're looking for a track only tire. I'd trade both sets for your one.
if you decide to sell, i have a set of 245-40-17 dunlap z1 ss that i would sell. They have 3 autocrosses and about 1k street miles on them. Im not looking to trade just wanting to try out a new tire this year.
Why are you looking to switch? Just for the look, or do you have a purpose in mind (track, autox, etc)? 245 or 255 wide tires will daily drive/ride much different then your current 225s.
That could be a possiblility... I was actually thinking about getting these: http://www.wheeldude.com/catalog/product_info.php?products_id=5733 I was hoping to improve handling and looks, but a friend tells me "wandering" may be a pita. I intend to do some type of legitimate fast driving this summer, but I can't see it becoming too frequent
Surprisingly I am looking to do almost the exact same thing. I have Pirelli p zero nero m+s in a 225 45 17 and am looking for something in like a 235/245 45/40 17. I am willing to trade or make other deals if anyone is interested. Let me know. Sorry to thread jack
Gah if I can seal the deal on some reasonably priced 17" wheels i'll take these in a heartbeat..free bump
That's no gentleman, that's Abraham Lincoln! Civil war president? Gettysburg Address? Emancipation Proclamation? Freed the slaves? Oh never mind.
omg, bump! For sale, cheaper than on CL, lol If a mod can change the title to "FS: Used 225/45/17 tires" or something, that would be sweet
Both cars I've ran 245 wide tires did tend to tramline a bit. The rediculous traction more than made up for it though. -Steve
