I took my first long road trip to Alexandrea tonight and the exhaust drone drove me and the family insane. I have a custom noise barrier in the trunk under the cargo thing and the trunk was filled with our crap. I'm running a 3" Bosal catback and would like to trade it for something quieter or buy something different and sell mine. It's not a big mellon shooter and actually pretty subtle.

So, does anyone have anything to trade - or do you have any suggestons or reviews of the Maddad whisper or Borla Hush?

I should add that this is on my 04 Forester. Will these parts swap with an Impreza?

    Thanks!!!

    -Ted

The Borla Hush is pretty quiet, only a little louder than my 3" MRT Turbo Back (catted) and its still got some nice rubles. I'd say definitely pick up a Borla Hush if you can find it.

whatever you get will probably have to be extended.... I put an exhaust I made of an 04 wagon and I had to hack the crap out of it to fit the Foz....

then also had to extend the tail-pipe like 4 inches...

maybe thats all it needs... is the tip under the bumper or level.. cause that makes a HUUUUUUUUUUUUUGE difference in how the resonating hits the car

Yeah the one on there now is extended, maybe have Nathan weld in another muffler or a couple resonators?

I have a stock STI cat back that would be quieter.

I really like the rumble that it has and don't take very long trips, but it was driving me crazy last night so I want to at least look into it. the tip is a couple inches outside of the bumer cover and I will take some pics and post them later.

Any suggestions as to where to shop for a Borla Hush, and can I get the axel back by itself?

that's no a problem. One of my shipping guys dad has a shop just north of Jordan and I could weld up the pieces in about 4 or 5 minutes.

Well, I can tell you from experience that people put too much of a premium on the difference between 2.5" and 3" exhausts. You will not likely lose much (if any) power by getting the 2.5 incher with your current set up.

Right on, I didn't know that, thanks!

I can tell you from experience that there is a WICKED hot brunette that works at the Doolittles in Alexandrea.
