further proof that germans are not only crazy but that they have far too much money and time on thier hands. http://thecontaminated.com/golden-porsche/
I see you're golden Porsche and raise you a sterling silver Audi A8 http://www.carspace.com/xcargrl/Albums/On The Road Again......./silveraudi.jpg/page/photo.html
Probably cost as much as a new paint job really. Not all that expensive. Figure 25 sheets of 22k gold leaf at 3 3/8 square is 60 bucks online. That covers close to 2 square feet. To cover 30 square feet would be about 900 bucks. A porsche might be more surface area, so we'll be liberal about it and call it 50 square feet, which would be 1500 bucks. A GOOD paint job would run you about twice that. Figure in the adhesive to lay down the gold leaf and you still wouldn't be close to 3k yet. Plus, you can see by looking at that car where the edges of the leaf meet. Honestly, it would've been better to maybe melt the gold over bare panels, it probably would have looked better.
Oh, cool. Some tasteless person has figured out how to make a car look like a fat woman's sequin'd party dress.
Meh- it's still only a boxter. Of course- if they had done that to a 911 GT3 RSR I would have to track them down and punch them in the face.
