I have a Technical Customer Support role with a smaller OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) in outdoor equipment that I am working on. A combination of double digit annual growth through product innovation and superior quality create the opportunity to solve technical questions about parts and product with commercial customers. This role is in the northern metro.

    Duties & Responsibilities
    • Answering and returning customer calls in a professional, courteous and timely manner
    • Be able to intelligently discuss warranty issues (claims and dates) and parts questions (price, applications, shipping, returns etc.)
    • Help customers with general machine maintenance questions and basic troubleshooting if necessary
    • Efficiently and effectively look up parts and provide estimates when necessary
    • Regular usage of spreadsheet tracking and other documentation
    • Be an internal resource for sales team regarding parts, service, pricing and warranty
    • Initiate shipping process for outbound orders
    • Assist customers with failed vendor parts return process
    Background Requirements
    • Previous inbound technical customer service experience (outdoor mobile equipment ideally) or at the very least a mechanical parts background with heavy customer interaction
    • Familiarity with warranty claims and product returns
    • Prior experience in a part(s) look up and applications environment
    • The demonstrated ability to ask questions for clarity as well as raise awareness of possible additional issues, concerns or applications the customer should be aware of
    • Basic understanding of mechanics and/or hydraulics
    • Competency with Microsoft Office
The intangibles we are looking for:
    • Resiliency-The ability to bounce back if a call goes poorly
    • Curiosity-Asking that next question which could make all the difference in the world as far as application or an additional necessary part being ordered
    • Detailed-The paperwork has to get done correctly and on time
    • Personable-You are one of the faces of the company and it is a smaller office
    • Versatile and Coachable-training is all encompassing and special projects will find you
Reach out to me if this is you...thank you -Rick
