Good Place For Turbo Rebuild?

    Looking for a place that would rebuild a Td04 for me, I would have the parts I would just need someone to do it for me.

    You could check with Diesel Components in Burnsville. I know they rebuild turbos

    I checked with that place a while back. You'll want to find out if the turbo is even really 'serviceable' first. The GT35R is pretty much a full cartridge replacement. The cost of the cartridge was 1250. The new housings to make it a complete turbo were another 120 bucks I think. You'll want to check and see if they can even replace the BB cartridges or not.

    Most Mitsu turbos are serviceable, but it may not be worth it.

    True, i was coming back in to say that. YOu can likely nail down a TD04 on eBay for 150. Probably less than what you'd spend to get yours rebuilt.

    i can get you one with no shaft play and good seals for $75 shoot me a pm if interested.

    thanks for all the info, this brings me to a proposition I recieved over at legacy central. some guy wants to trade me a 30k td04 for my heads and intake manifold (stock 22t) I think I am going to tell him I will do just the heads (as advised by awdl) and see what he says, you guys have any input as far as that goes? I dont think I could get much for the heads on a short notice but then again some people get desperate...
    he pays shipping for the heads, I pay shipping for the turbo. (washington)

    I'd say that's a good deal. Your basically getting the turbo for free then since T-leg heads are just about worthless. I have a set that will probably get made into some sort of furniture.
