Recently purchased an 04 WRX and I'd really like to have everything looked over and checked. I have a close friend who is a mechanic but he's a very busy guy and I'd like to have somone who is VERY familiar with Subarus' inspect it. Any help would be greatly appreciated, this car is my DD so I just want to keep everything in good condition.
If you are in the Midway area, swing by Midway Tires Plus. Ask to have Jaret, Jared, or myself (Ian) look over your car. We are all long time Subaru enthusiasts. We know all the common problems, and what to look for. There is always a WRX in our parking lot.
You've already purchased it, so it really doesn't matter what's found or not found. You're kind of stuck with it now. Is it doing anything weird? Or is this simply a piece of mind thing? Is this your first Subaru? It is nice that not a whole lot does go wrong with these cars and what does go wrong is typically obvious. Know the person you bought it from? A fellow member on here, Nasioc, or RS25? A number of us might actually know the previous owner and car and can provide more info on the car and the owner.
