Run, do not walk away from him.

This has been discussed ad nauseam on the forums. Do a search for WMC or World Motor Cars.

These are shoddily rebuilt salvage vehicles that I wouldn't put on display in my front yard, let alone trust enough to drive daily.

These cars are the proof that if something sounds too good to be true then there is something seriously wrong.

Thanks for posting that thread. I should have searched for WMC.

Don't worry my shoes are tightly laced.

And don't trust whatever bull he tries to tell you. A 5 year old could do a better job of putting those cars together. A blind, palsied 5 year old with a ball peen hammer and rusty visegrips.

Whatever you would spend above and beyond what his car costs would be money well spent ;)

Consider it the cost of peace of mind.

    Did you read the thread?

Yes, people have bought from him and not with good experiences.

I talked to this guy when I saw his ads on craigslist. As everyone else says do not buy from him.

In this market you can easily find a good deal. I just got a great deal from an MNSUBARU member on an STI. Post what you are looking for as a WTB in the buy/sell section and open a carfax or autocheck account.

If you aren't so good with cars have a shop check it out. I would guess any of the performance shops or a dealer would check the car out for a reasonable fee. Well the dealer might not be so reasonable. Maybe offer to buy one of the more experienced people on here lunch and see if they would go with you.

    Just a couple ideas.

Yes, there are. You can take a look at billylee's car or Taras' potential car. The body panels don't line up at all.

you are right. seems like a good guy. maybe he is. he just puts cars together so ****tily and dont know it. i know this thread has been dead for a while but i gotta put my 2 cents in. i got a car from him. ya it was a great deal. it has been running fine and it looks great. i went to bp subaru and they said run. did i listen? NO! So far they were wrong because its fine. but he is late on everything. I got my car 3 months later then he said. for sure dont pay him all before you get the car. NO ONE ELSE IS WAITING FOR IT!! give him half now half later. or he will take his sweet ass time. plus i got the title super late. So i got to pay full coverage on a stored car since my bank needed the title for just comprehensive. Great huh? Well just get it checked out my a dealer. I had the dealer fix all the little **** that was wrong. do the same!

A broken clock gives the correct time at least 2 times a day. I'm sure your car is fine, but those results are not typical. The guy is a hack, and I'm sure if you slapped together hundreds of Subarus with little skill you'd probably still get a couple of them right.
