I did smoked tails on my 02 with rockblockers. It's not a perfect install...but it's not that hard...a hair dryer and some misting water and yer good.

I just did my front bumper lights with a can of VHT tint spray that I got off of Ebay. Sorry I don't have any pictures, but these aren't the first lights I've done, so I can tell you that they won't fade, and you can make them as dark as you like depending on how many coats you add.

It sprays on the outside just like spray paint. After fully reading his original post, I realized that I used exactly what his friends used. Maybe they didn't prep? Sprayed one thick coat that ran horribly? I've done at least three sets of turnsignals without any problems. It just takes some good prep and light coats until you achieve the darkness you want.

nah. i wnat them lil dark. iam not fond at all of the red lights on blue.
does anyone know a local palce to get vht nite shades. i was in fl when my friend did it.
i was there to when he did them, they looked nice the first couple coats, but he went all out then they looked bad, so mabe just doing the light coats is the way to go.

I had a buddy do them with window tint and they looked sweet... He did like two layers of 50%.. I just wonder how hard that would be... or how long it would last. If you know someone with extra tint, give it a shot. If ya figure a way out. Ill pay ya to do mine :)

I didn't even think to look. Probably would have saved a couple dollars if they have it on the shelf. :(

I've got smoked vinyl (like a sticker) on mine, the color looks good, but I gotta re-do it sans wrinkles. From like 10 feet away, or directly behind it looks pretty good.

thanks again man. They're going on the new car too!

I had the rockblocker film and 2 versions of the niteshades... one without and one with clearcoat. here's my take...

Rockblocker film looks great from 10 ft and is the easiest.

Niteshades w/o clearcoat is pretty easy to do but looks like ass (pretty hazy).

Niteshades with clearcoat looks the best but takes the most time (need a good spray tip and good can control if yr gonna use a rattle can. Wetsanding helps too).
