Just about to install the Perrin License plate relo kit on my new 2019 WRX and read the line about staying away from Automatic car washes.

I get a deal on the washes at Holiday stores car washes - so I am wondering of this is a real thing or just a warning.

Just stay away from touch car washes, touchless are fine.

I have the GrimmSpeed version. I have gone throughout the touch wash multiple times at the location in North St Paul. Can’t say that i’ve ever had an issue. Mine is pretty tight to the car though

Most cloth washes will bend the front plate. With the relocate kit, the cloth could wrap around the plate, and tear it off, possibly doing damage to your front bumper in the process. Is this Holiday deal through Luther?

It's a real thing. I completely forgot about it and took mine through one that taco'd the plate and holder.
