Pretty clean, I like it, however, hopefully they can get a 'Final' version going, I mean, Gmail's been beta for a few years, damn.

You do realize Google put that out in order to track your web use even more than they do already with their search engine? Being that Firefox is standardized across multiple platforms, and with extensions like AdBlock and NoScript it would take a Herculean effort by Google in order to switch to their new browser. Google is still going to pay Mozilla for Firefox using Google by default for many things and so it's only a matter of time before Firefox adds some of the new functionality of Chrome into its own release. The only thing in Chrome I'm at all interested in is the sandboxed tabs, but since most of my surfing is done in a VM I don't really worry about malware and viruses on the web.

So I'm using it right now.

    My findings:

Good: Very quick loading. SPELL CHECKER BUILT IN WITH LITTLE RED LINE!! (Note, it does not work with the quick reply area. It shows the spelling error but will not offer the correct spelling. Incognito browsing is an interesting idea.

Bad: How it handles bookmarks in general. I have the main places I go across the top, like in IE7, but for my "other bookmarks" it just throws them in there in any order. I like to have my stuff alphabetically.

Overall I'll continue to use Chrome for my work laptop personal browsing, but I'll see what I use at home.

EDIT: Ok, the quick reply spell check works sometimes, but not all the time. I can't figure it out.

Been using it since yesterday, and it's soooo fast. The home page, if that's what you want to call it, is pretty sweet.

Why not just use a custom hosts file for adblocking? Has always worked great for me.

Because I like my HTML bookmarks, my searchable and indexable address bar, my built in custom search engines, and a "not ugly" theme.

But yes, it is quite fast.

EDIT: I should also note, it still renders the MNSubaru login info weird :).

Yeah, I saw that. Doesn't line up correctly if you are not logged in.

It doesn't for me, but I've also changed all fonts in the browser. It seems to affect that part of the forum, but not the forum's text itself (if that makes sense?)

My login and everything at the top right corner is a different font than the board is ..

Yes. I use warez car parts. I downloaded the torrent for my UP, DP, and TBE. I'm currently downloading my new turbo but it's hard finding seeders for it.

I suppose you like having tracking cookies tell companies which ads you click on, which online stores you use the most, and how often (and what) you post on MNSubaru.com? No thanks. The reason I use NoScript and AdBlock is to avoid all those stupid targeted ads on websites. I don't want to see ads on sites unless they're for the online retailer I'm currently browsing (i.e. NewEgg sales ads on NewEgg.com). If I were paranoid I'd be using an anonymous proxy, but I feel the VM browser is paranoid enough

I've always wondered why so many people misspell words on the internet. It tells you when "you're doing it wrong!!!"

    Fast. Fast. Fast. Fast. Fast.

During the first few days of use Firefox was still my default. I'd click a link in e-mail. Sit waiting. Realize I was waiting for Firefox. Click the Google Chrome shortcut. Highlight, copy, and paste the link. Have it load. Start reading. Then get annoyed when Firefox FINALLY popped up to start loading the page and stole my focus away.

    Fast.

Most accurate rending engine yet. Period. Wish they were all like that. Sites you see that render weird are because web-dev's did half-a** work arounds for bugs in the various rendering engines and they actually don't have it work right for a browser that renders things according to the standards. Blame Microsoft, seriously.

JavaScript engine is cutting edge. Top notch techniques employed there.

    It's fast. Really fast.

    Did I mention it's fast?

    The bad:
It seems to forget things. Sometimes I come to MNSubaru and I'm no longer "permanently" logged in (and no I'm not clearing cookies).

Sometimes certain textboxes for logins come up filled in, other times they're empty - the behavior seems to be random.

    Bookmark management sucks.

No add-in API. Ad-block and all the others will make Chrome versions I'm sure just as soon as Google releases an add-in API for Chrome. Hurry up Google!!

    It's really, really, really fast.

Any argument about data tracking is, IMHO, irrelevant. Open source. 'Nough said.

Besides, you think anyone anywhere is actually looking at anything personally about you and your browsing habits? Don't think so. It's just data running through algorithms. You are a GUID - that's it. How many millions of surfer's data do you think is getting processed. You are lost in the crowd - nothing more than a 128-bit unique randomly generated number and some history records. The trail to connect you personally to your GUID is to cumbersome and costly for anyone to care to follow - unless you're uber-important, in which case you probably should be paranoid. (and I mean you here in the general applies to everyone sense)
