I had spare intercooler piping laying around from my last car, so I figured why not spend time doing something productive while I wait for the chinese F1 to start. Cost: 0 Time to build: 1 hour including paint Power Gains: Placebo effect tells me that I have around 400WHP, but in all reality, probably none. Heh Notes: Car sounds different, did something productive. Pic:

It functions as a CAI with the benefit of smooth bends and better air intake flow. I like it! Reset that baby, and feel the nice increase in torque!
Pull the negative on the battery for about 15-20min. When you reconnect, the car will probably not start the first time (actually it will start and die right away). When you start it the second time, it should stay running. It's that simple.
For the record, my car never struggled to start after trying to start up a car that has had it's ECU reset. As per Larry Ganz, pull the negative and leave it off for an hour (you can tap the brake pedal to use up the last of the reserved energy). An hour later, reconnect the negative terminal to the battery (if you have a Subaru alarm, it will sound). Run the car at idle for ~15 min. The longer, the better. Turn off the car. Finally, turn it back on whenever you want to go for a drive and drive the car in different styles to let the car learn a new fuel map for the modification(s) you have made. The car will guzzle the gas in the tank for a few days until it determines its best map.
Most, but not all cars have the "kill" syndrome (from whom I have talked to), but it is not necessarily a bad thing as I have done this literally hundreds of times. Thanks for adding the "idle for 15min" I forgot that part (didn't I just type that I have done this hundreds of times?), and the important piece to note during that 15min... don't touch the gas. Just start the car and let it run until the fan kicks on (~15min). As for the 1hr disconnect, YMMV, but I have never had an issue when I leave it off for 15min, but the brake pedal is a good idea.
I have no tools with me at school here, I will try it out this weekend when I get home. Unless someone on the U of M campus has a 10mm wrench I can borrow. Hhaha
