Dude are you guys pussy whipped, don't you know it's easier to ask for forgiveness than permission?

Actually my wife's pretty cool, she wouldn't question it if I went out an bought a bike again, right now, I'm done riding for a bit, until I figure out what I'd like to buy.

Yeah the 650 is a nice bike, congrats man 8)

^My friend has a Honda VFR800 and loves it. He's a bigger guy and he didn't want another rocket. He says it has the power he wants and it's comfortable like touring bike. He does have a Corbin seat on it though. I rode it once, it was nice but too quiet for me(I like to hear the RPM's). Here's a pic of a stock one. I like the single sided swing arm, exhaust under the seat, and the blinks built in. http://www.tenkatemotoren.nl/Acties/VFR800_2006/HONDAVFR800F2006/images/MVFR820063BA.jpg

Your best bet would be to get the old gen ZX-6R, labeled now as the ZZR600. Those have the smoothest engines for long rides, and the most comfortable ergonomics. That twin is going to vibrate, and it won't sound as nice at WOT.

Spend the extra 1k. It'll be worth it.

Then again, buy a used race bike and go to Brainerd. That'll put hair on your chest!

Hey, the ZZR600 is sold as a new bike today.

But it is a continuation of the 2002 model that Eric Bostrom used to whup up in AMA 600 Supersport.

If money or looks are a factor, buy what you like. But you will probably not outgrow the ZZR.

Personally i am a fan of the 636, probably the first thing I will buy when i graduate from college. Even though i like the '04 and '05 better than the '06.
The new R6 and R1's are ridiculously cool as well. I would definately ride either.

Maybe you should consider not buying the bike and getting a turbo for your car that isn't so gay.

Fur on a motorycle? Ick! Those are funny, like a coffee can on a Metro, but I can't condone it.

And who posted saying the new R6 was pretty? I saw it at the show and it was fugly! Same goes for the headlights on the ZX-10 and ZX-14.

It's like the new Camry: Japanese stylists are either going blind or are eating mushrooms.
