So i had the car about 5 days before i started digging into it(new record for me). I'm not exactly sure of what my plan is for the car right now since molly drives it daily but we'll just get started slowly and see where we go(spoken like a true in denial addict). So my girl was in florida for the last 4 days so i figure i'd dig into while she was gone and not tell her i did anything to see if she notices First we'll do the easy thing, rip the stupid airbox silencer out. I could immediately hear the turbo spool sound more clearly after doing this. At first i left the ram air piece out and i thought that once i put it back on the turbo noise would quiet down but i was surprised that it still stay about the same. Also i noticed the previos owner had a perrin foam filter in there...it was full of oil so the next thing i did was go grab some MAF cleaner and cleaned off all the oil from the filter off the the MAF sensor....the maf cleaner can says i can game 15hp from cleaning my maf, my butt dynos says i gained about this on the legacy lol. of course, said car.... Next on the chopping block, get some datalogging and tuning down via engintuity. Justin
for reall....thats what they call it? totally depends on if i have to be presentable at night. typically my hands are black everyday
No, haha. A few of us call it that just cause it teh funnay since its anything but a torque box. Some of them have those funny little dildos hanging off them.
Dildo is also the name of a town in Newfoundland. Additionally, let us know if she notices a difference right away. Haha, sneaky sneaky...
You really need a fatter TBE and AP Stage 2 before she gets it back. Just tell her someone stole your cat and you didn't want to spring for the repair cost. The difference between 250 lb-ft and over 300 lb-ft of torque is like night and day to us but I also know a friend who traded in her Nissan Altima for a G35 and then proceeded to tell me that she didn't notice much of a difference between them on the road. Wonder if she's still saying that after taking it out in the snow...
