usually someone is there every night. i could meet you down there if someone isnt. just pm me when you want to stop on down.

should be getting the first prototypes in a week and i'll just need to test fitment and then get the big batch which will be in 3 weeks after.

i'd hope you still have 8mm of room:) yeah it comes with 8 new intake manifold bolts.

click the link above n00b ;) jk

84.88 for a set. you dont have to use oem gaskets but we recommend getting 2 sets. since these are triple thick spacer ..if you chose to go with a oem gasket on top and bottom the top gasket will not set on the alignment pin but will be hold in place by the 4 IM bolts. when installing just make sure everything looks lined up nicely.

alright, you're our official phase 2 tester. i'm the 93-99 1.8/2.2 test so we just need a phase 1(98 dohc 2.5) tester.

so you know the bolt pattern is the same w/ the Phase 2 NA motors and the WRX. The port entry just doesn't open as WIDE as the WRX port.

ok i got the sample pieces in for the 93-01 subarus and i need to get fitment tests done ASAP. i'm in need of a 1998 2.5 NA (phase 1) tester that can test fitment for me by the end of the weekend. i will be giving the person a free set of phenolic spacers for their car for helping with testing.

    Testers:
    01 SOHC 2.5 N/A --- Bielke
    93-99 1.8/2.2 N/A --- Justin
    1998 2.5 N/A --- NEED TESTER FOR THIS!!

    thanks!

I have a 98 2.5 GT that's getting a FMIC if you need a test fitter for a triple thick spacer for that application...

So I have a 99 2.5 DOHC. What benefit would a plenum spacer have for me? On another note, would my intake noise go up? Because I really don't need....but I will happily accept more!

EDIT: forgot to mention that I am a N/A poor bastard

    sorry i didnt see this.

you basically get two things here, cooler intake manifold temps and a bit larger intake plenum. enlarge n/a intake plenum's have proven on dynos to be effective.

and do you have one that will fit onto this engine yet? if yes, has it been tried and what sort of results were seen? Butt Dyno results accepted LOL

Just put a set of the 3mm spacers on tonight. I am very impressed, the manifold temp. to the touch is closer to the hot pipe on my FMIC than to the block temp. which it was closer to before the spacers. I can only imagine how more efficient the triple thick ones are!!!!!

Also did the throttle body coolant bypass mod since my car will never see winter again and the throttle body temp after driving is the same as the cold pipe on my FMIC.

Oh, and I did put OEM gaskets on top and bottom and I haven't detected any leaks.

ok, so the manifold temp is noticable cooler.....but how about the power? any noticeable change?? I'm just not $70 convinced :-\

Power, well its hard to say in hp, but it pulls a little harder, granted I think i had a very small intake manifold leak before, and it seems to be cured now. Its worth the $70. I think its nice insurance for me too since it should help fend off DET since the intake charge isn't being warmed as much as it could be inside the intake manifold.

I'm still thinking about these, but weren't you going to do another design for a FMIC application or something?

well seeing as there's a 2.5 GT in my avatar, that's probably what I'm talking about. SO a spacer for the phase 1 2.5 w/ fmic is what I'm interested in
