my first gear sometimes grind when i try to put it in gear sometimes at a complete stop to a rolling start at about 3 to 5 mph seems to be getting worst, is it because i let my wife drive. and i do need a new clutch soon.

Hum...me too sometime, but only when it is cold out. Is that mean my first is shot too? How can you tell? And where can you this stuff at?? Do you have to drain your tranny fluid first?

you can get it at any chev dealer, yes you hafta drain your fluid. there are many other kinds on the market, i just have had great luck with this stuff. i used to grind 1-3 every time...now it doesnt grind at all...40K miles later even!

yours can't be shot, you barely have enough miles to effect the tranny enough to kill the syncro let alone your car was store most of its life. I'd suggest just changing out the fluid. try uncle scotty's blend. i have it in my car and i love it! it consist of 1qt syncromesh(found at autozone), 2 qts castrol hyper C, and 1qt redline lightweight shock proof. you can drive mine to see how it feels if you'd like. i also have redline in my rear diff. its always better to do both at once.

I have this same problem, running amsoil in the tranny. Is this something that would be coverd under an extended warranty?

It also chatters on take off sometimes when I first start driving it after it has sat for a day. the tranny was in nuteral while it sat.

+1, its great stuff. I had the same problems before; i couldn't put my car into first unless I rev matched and was at a complete stop. After the Cocktail, can put into first at 20mph with no problems at all. Its great.

bill, you may want to swap in some sort of cocktail into yours as well, full synthetic is almost bad for slipping syncros, it just works too damned good!
