Well the wife got the itch yet again and traded in her 2011 Legacy 2.5i for a 2015 Legacy 2.5i. Quite a bit has changed with the newer model and I must say its a nice jump. Its a base model so it doesn't have a lot of added features but it still feels much nicer all around compared to the 2011 we had previously and it still offers some features that the 2011 didn't have. Not too much planned for it other than some color match painting on the mirrors, some debadging, and some wheels/snow tires down the road but it'll mostly be doing commutes and running around town. Also looking forward to the added mpg the '15 offers. Glad there's still a Subaru in my garage thats for damn sure.

    Onto some pictures!

Nice looking Taurus! I like the look a lot better than the previous generation. Those wheel covers look a lot better than these...

    Ha! AWD Taurus!

Yeah, not a fan of the steelies/covers but they'll sport some winter rubber one day.

Take off the covers when you put the winter's on. I am a fan of white economy cars with steelies...

I agree but I may opt to loose the covers one by one over the winter during random shenanigans

Haha in any case, it looks good! What are some of the new features on the base model?

Actually we're not a fan of the new car smell at all, it made us all sick. They laid it on so thick you could taste it.

I can see a little Camry in there as well. Base model has low beam projectors now, touch screen HD radio with bluetooth, usb plugins, steering wheel controls, back up camera, splash guards, and sickening new car smell :)

Ha! We'll see what I can talk her into but i'm guessing she won't go for yeller wheels. Even though they would look great on there.

Nice color choice! I'm amazed at how huge they look in person. I've always liked Legacy's except for the previous generation. This is a good improvement.

Was disabling DRL as simple as disconnecting a cable?

Yes. Once I found it that is. I took what I found in a few wrx/sti DIY threads and started there. Turns out the connector is on the drivers side on Legacy/Outback models where its on the passenger side on Impreza models.

The wire runs from the silver box located in the picture above.

What's the thing with disabling DRL's? Why is it considered a mod?? In the sense that a mod is usually done to enhance..

In this case it was more that I didn't like how the led white "C" looked with the yellow of the DRL bulb.

And as derp mentioned the longer bulb life doesn't hurt either.
