I am taking over this post. ~Justin (Holy~Shazbot! He really hijacked my post!)

The winter season is coming and if we all want to preserve our horrid subaru paint this is what you need. We will be going with the Fastline product as the have the best price and an UNLIMITED LIFETIME warranty. Below is the email i received from them regarding price. I will need to know what type of car its for and also sedan or wagon.

    Email back from Fastline:

..."10 + sets can do for $89.95 ea. plus shipping which is $12.25 a set if I
drop ship to ea. person buying if all flaps go to 1 place it will be
what ever the shipping charge is for the size and weight of the package (s).

mudflaps are $109.95 and right now they are on sale at $99.95 so the
discount may not seem like alot but I do warrenty all mudflaps for life
that's why I can not give a huge discount. This is what I give all
clubs and forums gourps that do group buys."...

i've had the rallyarmor flaps for a couple months and like them overall. I'm waiting for winter to see if they're too aggressive, but so far so good. Only problem is they rub pavement under very hard cornering  so now they've got that roughly sanded look with bits hanging off... ymmv depending on suspension. maybe try some out first and make sure you want 'em. on the plus side they double as curb feelers for parallel parking in reverse. lol
took me a second to figure out what that noise was.

hehe. every time someone bitches about curbing a rim I mention them. They make a gawd-awful noise when you scrape the curb. :p

I need them too......anyone selling them locally? Those rally armor ones look nice, but I don't see any sort of warranty for 'em. Fastline has a lifetime warranty...which makes it hard to beat.

$100 is a lot of dough for mudflaps...but I guess that beats having gravel/sand/snow shot-up along side the fenders and doors. I get some strange rock chips on the leading edge of my doors. Kinda makes you wonder how it was possible.

See if we can get a deal...I'm in! For sure! But find out what if rally armor uses stainless fasteners....that would suck to have'em rusty by spring.

It looks like the fastlines stick out even farther than the rallyarmors. Lifetime warranty sounds great, but honestly it is just a hunk of plastic. I suppose if you are actually rallying with them... otherwise if you are doing anything that cracks it chances are the flap is the least of your worries.

i like the bigger fatline flaps. i just think they will provide more protection. my door is already chipped to pieces along the bottom. it looks nasty, i think i will use flaps for winter/ofroad driving and take em of in teh summer.

i would be in for a group buy.

Hey guys, I've got the Fastline flaps on my car and I love them. One nice thing about them is they also have wagon specific flaps. They've got incredible customer service, I emailed them over 4th of July weekend and got a response within 2 hours. They do come out farther than the RallyArmor ones, and the mounting stuff was great. The instructions were easy enough that even I could figure it out, it was an easy install and I haven't had any issues yet, other than some of the mechanics asking where I got the truck mudflaps. If any of you guys stop in here and want to see what they look like, just let me know and I can show you my car. Fastlines have my vote, even though I don't need a set.

Ok. I received the email from rally armor.

    "Hi Justin,

Thank you for reaching out to us. We would be interested in knowing
what the final count for your group buy would be. We consider 20 to be
a minimum for a group buy and a per/flap discount but would still be
willing to work with you to discount your shipping/handling costs
should you have less than 20 buyers. Let us know how you'd like to
    proceed.

    Best regards,

    The Rally Armor Team"

base price for rally armor is 90, fastline is 109. We would be able to get the rally armor's cheaper however they do not come with a lifetime warranty..i dont think. I guess after hearing the respones on this thread..my vote is fastline.

I should've looked when I was buying parts from you!

I'm in for a set of Fastline (Wagon) mudflaps!

How many more people do we need? How is the ordering process going to be? Are we doing individual orders with us mentioning that we are from mnsubaru.com or are we placing an order as a group?

I think those Rally Armor flaps look better, but only if I can get the blue logo on a GC8 set (that combination isn't listed on their website; sent 'em an email)

Count me as a "*TENTATIVE* in".
    - rskm1, 2000 RS coupe, BLACK mudflaps. *CONDITIONAL ON RALLYARMOR RESPONSE*

If fastline's diamondplate aluminum rally floormats will fit pre-02 GC8s and they'll do a shipping discount by sending them along with the big mudflap order, count me as a *DEFINITE* for a full set of the floormats.

Not sure how "group payment" is going to work, but I'd be willing to Paypal or Pers.Check up-front, *IF* someone reputable like a board admin is collecting the money.

They're going with the Fastlines...Rallyarmor already replied and said they wanted 20 people for a group buy. You won't be disappointed with them, trust me. You can always put MN Subaru stickers on them and find a way to seal them on.

RSKM1: i am currently using WRX flor mats in my Lx. they dont fit perfectly, but they do fit quite well. i can take a pic if you want

Brian: i was thinkign on a similar line of thought. we can put whatever stickers we want on the fastline mud flaps. so you could do the trucker girl sticker, or mn subie stickers (might need to be smaller to fit)

The MN Subaru stickers will fit, I've been contemplating putting a set on my rear flaps. I've got gold and Bronze, I just have to decide which ones to use.

UPDATE: Got a reply from RallyArmor; they have no plans to do a run of GC8 in blue and they can't do custom one-offs. SO: Upgrade me to a "definite in" on the fastline group-buy:

    - rskm1, 2000 RS coupe, BLACK mudflaps.

    |EDIT:
    | P.S. Regarding the floormats. Hmm, from the pics Dynapar posted, the shapes do differ enough to worry about... But there's no sense trying to make 02+ aluminum floormats fit in a GC8 anyway; there are plenty of correct GC8-specific ones available, just searching ebay & froogle.com (for under $100 including shipping-- e.g. www.thehodgepodgestore.com)
