So I have an opportunity to get 9mm ammo at a pretty good deal. It's "commercially remanufactured" ammo through a local company. I've been buying ammo from them for a while and they will discount for bulk orders. I used this ammo to break in my gun, and had 2 duds in the first 500 rounds (both occurred in the first 50 shots of a brand new gun and haven't had an issue since then, so I'm not at all worried about the quality of the ammo).

$100+tax for 500 rounds (ends up being $108)

Not including tax, that gets down to $0.20/round, and I'm used to paying $0.26-$0.30/round for stuff I'm just going to burn at the range anyways, so I like this deal.

I just bought 2,500 rounds last night for myself and a couple guys at work, but can set up another group buy if people are interested.

    Let me know. :)

Let me know the price for .45 acp. I'm trying to find a 9mm conversion, so I may also be interested in 9mm once I find it.

I believe they only have 9mm and .40 :( I'll double check though.

I don't know the difference between a dud and a squib. On a brand new M&P Shield, there were 2 times that I pulled the trigger and it didn't fire (early on in the first 500 rounds). I have around 1,000 rounds through that gun and those were the only issues I had. Ejected the round, kept firing with no issue both times.

Sounds like the powder failed to ignite. Did you look at the primer after it failed?
Most companies that reload will back their products if they fail. I know it was only 2 rounds but...

If the rounds are "commercially remanufactuered" you would have to assume they are brass. Would be nice if the op answered questions.

Sorry guys, been super busy with work and my night class :/ Yes, I do believe they're brass. I'm hoping to set up an order next week or the following, as long as I have enough people committed.

What is the minimum order to get these prices around $.20 a round?

We're you able to check on .45 acp?
    thanks

Only 9mm and .40, and we need at least 2,000 rounds to get down to $0.20 on 9mm and $0.23 on .40

It's made by a company here in the Twin Cities, by the name of Black Munitions. They teamed up with Midwest Carry Academy (the place I got my P2C through) to sell remanufactured ammo. Normally it's around $490 for 2k 9mm rounds but they had a Black Friday deal for $400, and since I've bought a lot through them, they'll let me continue those prices for higher-volume orders.

My .02 is to avoid reloads unless you personally now "trust" the person doing the job. Then only use it for range ammo never ever as carry rounds.

I agree with you. I would never use reloads anywhere other than the range. I bought a small quantity to start with and was happy with it, so I have continued buying it.

I won't carry anything other than Gold Dot right now.

I do agree, you never shoot reloads unless you trust the reloader, but in this case the company reloading them would be liable.

Buying in the next week. I live in Saint Louis Park and work in Lakeville, and am willing to meet in between. Must be 18.

$110/box (includes tax) of 500 rounds of 9mm. Waiting for the next order to buy .40. I'll be buying a lot and it'll be first-come-first-serve to whoever is willing to pick it up from me. Please confirm if you're interested either through PM or replying here, so I can set up a time to get it to you.
