Who would be interested in a Groupbuy for Corbeau Seats? They are priced reasonably to begin with...shipping is where we would save if we do a groupbuy, majority of the vendors do not discount the seats. If they do they just provide free shipping but charge retail... Show of Hands...I just need to know if we have a decent amount of people interested so I can pursue my vendor on it. FYI- You do not have to buy a Pair, single is priced the same...It is the shipping that I'm trying to save on... Thanks, Ray
It retails for $259 ( Forza II)...It is priced nice already...but I'm thinking under $225 or less with a groupbuy, shipping is the killer part...The more we can order the less the shipping charges.
Interested and actually buying are two different things...I'm not going to focus on Sparco seats due to the Price, it is as much as 3x the amount for Corbeau Seats...I'm sure it is better, but not 3x better IMO...and not alot can afford 3x the price either
Main focus on GB is price and quality...$220-$250 including shipping for a seat is affordable...If some of you guys want Sparco I can do a separate GB later for Members that really want them, and not just saying they are "Interested".
Depends on when, but I might be interested. I need something to hold me in my place with my new turbo. Happy Valentines day to me Has anybody else had one of the springs go in their seat? One of the welds broke in the cross member spings in the back seat. Lost all my lumbar support. Major pain...
yeah that would be cool. might be interasted. would we need to buy mounting brackets for it? or does it bolt right in? would you need diffrent seat belts for it?
I had Forza's in my XR4Ti. They are HORRID! If these are for a street car, don't walk....run away! The fabric sucks , the ergonomic are bad, and the tubular frame feels cheap. I have sat in rigid back racings seats from Momo, Sparco, Recaro and all are lightyears ahead. FYI, there is a Corbeau dealer (who can also get Recaros and Sparcos) that lives in Bloomington. I think he is one of the biggest sellers in the country. He has a trailer setup where you can try out the seats. I bought a set of black corbeau A4's in ultrasuede from him to replace the Forzas and I love them. Only paid around $600 for the pair. He gets good prices. Jim @ www.autotoystore.com
I'll talk to Jim and a GB on the seats he carries...Corbeau, Sparco, and Recaro...I'll get more detail later on this week and see what discounts I can get for each brand/model. Most likely the best would be what the % off Retail. Then you guys easily figure out how much is the GB for certain brands and let me know whether u want to buy it or not. Does that sound good? So at least you can pick your own Brand and model you want...Of course if your skinny, your in luck (more choices) and Big Boyz, well...Choose wisely Ray
I'd be interested if they were 2 piece seats. Otherwise the price is right but I don't want a one piece race seat.
I'm gonna call Jim up this week...It doesn't have to be a certain seat on the GB u can pick which ever u want...with the Brands he carries...
Alright here is the scoop...I need to know who is serious about buying the seats and what brand/model. Please checkout the Corbeaus, Recaros, and Sparco Seats websites and see which one u like and post on here...I will then call Jim to get the price quotes...Again, serious inquiries only please...I will PM you back...Jim is not wanting the local seat dealers seeing what we are doing so please keep this here (Mnsubaru) only...between us members. FYI- I'm guess it will be like Cobb products, strictly regulated pricing...expect around 10%-15% off depending on brand/model or $30-$100 in savings compared to the Normal purchased price of the seats...
