got this into the shop tonight.... I love playing with old stuff and making it awesome.

it was his first guitar... and after being completely destroyed, he brought it to me for a restore and full out customization.

I smoothed out the bend in the body, and smoothed the knee rest for better playability, did a once over and hand smoothed out the entire body.

i'll keep you updated. this is up to the gelcoat undercoat.

its a white polly resin.... something we had laying around. I'm using it to re-enforce the body.. prolly wasn't needed.
(looks to be the same stuff as this http://www.fibreglass.com/GELCOAT.htm )

the neck is in pretty nasty shape. he said he was going to order in a new one... especially since this will be a full out custom unit. So I can only assume he will get something more expensive...

I am interested to see how it turns out. I am curious as to what color/design you are going to use. I am also curious as to what hardware he is going to use, and how it will play.

String thorugh body is sweet, but that bolt on neck might kill the sustain.
