Gutting stock DP

I have an extra down pipe I wanted to gut and give to a friend. Any good recommendations on approach? I've never down this.

 

just hack the guts out... the MOST important thing to be sure of is that when you think you are done... check it 5 more times and make sure EVERY piece of catalyst is out of the pipe and wont go through his turbo....

 

You said Down Pipe right? Downpipe cleanliness isn't as important as up pipe.

Just wanted to add that....

 

yeah, downpipe...no chance at the cats debris flying back into the turbo....unless I drove really fast in reverse.:biggrin:

 

For his rear turbo?

Maybe thats why you have so many problems with dizmal's car, your putting the pipes on the wrong sides of the Turbo

OOOPS.... sorry misread... was reading it first thing with half a cup of coffee in the system

yeah there is another turbo in the stock muffler... thats why its so big and heavy... ha ha
