uummmm, drop it in a bottle with some boiling water in it, screw the cap down and throw. It'll get huge, then explode, very very loudly.

Or dunk a large chunk in boiling water, and get a huge ploom of smoke :)

I dunno what else you'd use it for that's really fun.

Holy crap, where in CG are you? We had a huge cache going off. I think we were firing fireworks off steadily from 5pm till the Kingston park show went, then immediately afterwards for another half hour. BTW, we live across the street from the part of the park where the city fireworks go off, and my backyard has unobstructed view of the show...including ground level. I think next year we might host a "t3hw00t.com 4th o' July Burgers 'n' Bombs Extravaganza." Pending wifely approval of course.

I think that we should have a Cottage Grove and Woodbury get together somewhere.

I'm just north of 75th street, on the east side of Jamaica (on Jeffery Lane). My backyard is on Jamaica Ave. I'm probably 1/4 - 1/2 mile away from you guys.

Holy ish, I take 75th to get to Jamaica sometimes. And if you live off Jamaica between 75th and Indian, then you have probably heard me downshifting for the stop sign and turn on to Indian blvd. Nuts. What do you drive?

I was at Valley Fair watching the fireworks from below. We got a nice smoke screen with lots of sparklies. :)

I think the dry ice in a bottle of water is a bad idea. Someone could blow up their hand or shoot an eye out.

2003 blue Subaru WRX (no wing). Its completely stock, so you won't be able to hear me if I'm in the area

Nah. It isn't that bad at all. To delay the "reaction", all one needs to do is put warm water in (1/4 cup or so) and it'll take longer. There have been times where the bottle had smoke pouring out of the top and I got the cap on and it still took 30-45 seconds before it went off. The fun part is, you can have like 5 (or whatever) of them setup, leave, and when they go off, no one will be leaving the scene

Of course, I haven't messed with that stuff in years. I did it when I was younger. Never did any damage, except I blew up a few of my own wastebaskets that I had. Also, the big mouth water bottles work a lot better since you can put bigger chunks in. Last but not least, don't put any objects in the bottle (BBs, etc), unless you want to take a trip to the emergency room.:eek3:

some guys I knew thought theyd make some bolt bombs....

used large bolts welded like 4 nuts together, filled with caps, match heads and the gun powder from 2 shotgun shells.... 1 tightened by hand and said lets throw it.. the other smarter lad said no wait and grabbed 2 wrenches and turned... ignited a a cap and BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!!! His parents heard it 2 miles away at the golf course... came home to see their son with NO hand and his friend with an extra hand splattered all through his hair... not nice....
