Who's got the hook-ups for Hamline Auto Body. I heard someone on the board works there or own the place. I have questions regarding hail damage, a door ding, and I need to paint my side skirts and other stuff. What's the discount? Holla back.
For sure, Fong told me about him years ago. After I got my Greddy front lip and JDM STI hood scoop, he hooked me up for $150 for both paint matched and cleared. He's got a pretty sexy EVO MR too. (651) 224-4717 call and ask for Brad Huber. He will ask you to come in to look at the damage and give you an estimate. From there you can tell him how much you want to pay for the damages and he will work something out. The more damage you have, the better discount you get obviously.
Thanks for the info guys. Now, anybody wanna get in on a "group-buy" .....paint, dings, dents, hail damage, etc. That way we all get a bigger discount.
we had a smaller paint group buy last year for side skirts, and other small pieces. I would say call him up first and see if he can offer a group discount on dings and such. I have a couple of dings/dents that i need to get out.
hell yeah......everybody jump on the bandwagon. I will call him up and see if we can get a good price with 10+ people.
I'm in, my whole hood is full of chips and dings. I also have a few on the rear passenger side quarter panel. Lets get this going!!!
i'd be down for a group buy on some ding removals. I have a big one on my roof and small ones everywhere. If someone wants i could get it setup, i'm looking at his card as i type this. I had some work done there other than the sideskirt group buy and it good stuff.
+1 for Brad, he painted a couple parts for me and their service is awesome. My car comes back washed and vac'd everytime, even the time I brought it in so they could paint match parts I dropped off! I may have some pieces needing painting and I was going to call Brad up anyway, so I'll subscribe to this thread

yes Brad is that awesome. Is there quality of work just as good as most shops, yea probably maybe a little better. But Brad is the nicest guy, and will take care of the club.

I checked with Brad. He says that he will give each of us a discount for work done on our cars, but it would be hard to calculate that as a group b/c we all need different work done (scracthes, dings, dent, hail damage). We each can go to him for an initial inspection, quote, and discount. From what he mention, the discount does not seem to be all that......something like instead of $50 / hour of labor......he could give us $44/hour of labor. The best discounts are if we had side skirts done in the same color all at once, then he could give us a little more. Also, the side skirts they usually charge $150 for a pair, but could do it for $125 a pair for MNSubaru members. For dentless repair, he recommend their Hamline's contractor that comes in to do that......a company call Finishing Touch.....ask for Blaine at 651-343-5697. Brad's a nice guy and helpful, but the deep discounts are not there unless you really need to have it done. Anyway, good luck.
none of the vendors are going to give you HUGE discounts, all group buy are like that, maybe save 5-15% MAX. remember these buisnesses are in it to make money not lose it...
That and most are small, privately owned and obviously can't afford to hand out huge discounts even if they wanted to. But, $125 for side skirts is a good deal IMO. Getting everyone with the same color though. Thats pretty hard to pull off. Hopefully they can work around that or was he saying he would do $125 per pair for just MNsubaru members??? $6/hr is still $6/hr off normall price. I know I have a atleast 5 hours worth of work!:eek3::laugh:
Finishing Touch is the absolute BOMB! I have had all of my work done with Dave and will continue to do so as long as we both live in the area. After that, I'll have to fly him in, lol.
My hood and bumper have some scratches and chips and i have a few dings, if the price is right, count me in!
had experience with Ryan, iirc, at Finishing Touch when we did a GB with them. Came out really and the price was right. As for Brad, I need to get a rear apron painted, so I'll prolly just call him myself. good luck guys
Well, I'll give Brad a call some guy seem to have backed up and left a dent on my rear fender on the driver side -_- just needs to be popped backed out and repainted (along with the scratches on the bumper) MAN, just a few months and this? I'm not in too much in a happy mood
