Very nice! Which injectors are you using, and what's the duty cycle at 20psi with e85?

Could we get a complete mod list?

The graph looks awesome, was it run in 3rd or 4th?

    Mods:
    Ej257 hybrid motor
    Avo Tmic
I fabbed my own v-band rotated kit
    Garrett 3076 .82 Vband turbo
Bosch ID 1000cc injectors (I have my rom hacked up pretty good to allow my stock ecu to run the 30R so my injector duty cycle is misleading...I'll let you know what idc is when I get my standalone)
1 walbro 255 about maxxed out... ( just waiting to get a bosch 044 to add inline)
    Aeromotive FPR
    Fuel rail Mod
    TGV's deleted
Gmbcs paired up with a turboXs Dual stage MBC
    Custom tune by me
    E85

    07 Sti 6mt
Dunlop Dirreza z1 star spec tires
    Spiider Dual Mode Dccd controler

Some other stuff to but thats most of it...

I have been thinking of maybe fabbing up some Frame stiffening goodies in the near future and painting them Wrb since I have to get a side skirt and paint in after one of mine mysteriously disapreared...

from the pics it looks like your turbo is at a harsh angle, if it actually is id worry about the seals. just something to think about, dont wanna see a 30r go down before its time.

It doesn't look to be at that bad of an angle, personally.

I'd be more worried about the updates that you need to install to your computer.

Yeah I am pretty sure I am going with a Hydra or Aem but the Stock ecu is doing ok... I can't adjust somethings that really need adjusting... This is what phil at Element had to say about my setup on the stock ecu...
"The OP has a stock ecu with a hybrid motor. This combination is full of phantom knock from the OEM ecu mostly due to different noise characteristics of the 257 and the slight change in timing as a result of the differences in the block dimensions (changes cam timing as it relates to crank timing). If or when he gets a Hydra he will finally be able to tune that combination the way it should be by running the correct timing curve, correcting his ignition dwell times, and by having a fully adjustable knock threshold system that doesn’t suck."

So I mean that pretty much hits the nail on the head.... But the car is running well.

I think the turbo angle is pretty good imo LOL Here is a pic of the ams kit
    [IMG]
And here is P&L motorsports' kit you can see it leaning back...

    Should be fine...

That isn't even close to 15 degrees, which is what I remember Garrett recommending for their turbos. Not even close to what Perrin sets their kits at, not that it was good, but it worked for the most part.

Oh, and Phil at Element hasn't done any motor or fab work whatsoever. Tune away...

"listen to someone who has experience with multiple systems. Of course Phil wants you to buy a Hydra, he's the main dealer. In actuality, the Hydra sucks serious balls to tune without a dyno. Never mind that I mentioned it months ago, but Phil talks a good story. The only thing the Hydra had going for it was driving low impedance injectors, but they are not king of that anymore. The rest of the Hydra's functionality sucks balls. I would never, ever spend $2k on such a retardedly programmed piece of ****."

I like it nice numbers, it must be really fun to drive, plus the 6 speed transmission makes me envious ;) I live in Albertville and work in Monticello we should meet up sometime it would be fun to go for a cruise plus slowrex53/Brian. As far as the ECU I've heard good things about AEM from the two your considering. Brian/slowrex53 has alot of experince with different ecu setups.

Yeah we should meet up sometime, Cruising Ftw... Heading that way in about 30 mins lol...My dogs best friend is wating to hit the park ..

My afr should be = to about 11.2-11.4...

On anothter note 1: the Hydra really "sucks balls"?2: I will be only on the dyno about 1 time a year, So I will be doing a LOT of road tuning does the Aem meet the road tuning standards so to say? 3: Aem, is it easy to use? they software I downloaded left me unconclusive on this . 4: piddster Are you saying the angle is good or bad bro, I am trying to think of what 15* looks like?

    Yes.

Peak torque for e85 is somewhere in the .82-.85 lambda (~12.0 - 12.5:1 gas equiv.) region from what I can remember.

Back when I was running the stuff on my tiny td04, my spreadsheet dyno plots showed an increase in power going from 11:1 to 12.8:1. I remember looking at my fuel table and laughing....basically it's 14.7 and then jumps to the 13s & 12s once you get into load. It was pretty silly looking compared to a regular "curved" table. lol.

Also, you can run that lean and still keep your EGTs in check -- you are still flowing a ton more fuel than regular gas. Don't forget you are dealing with 105+ octane here.....would you run 110 leaded @ 11:1?

Ok that sounds interesting, and I hear you on 105+ octane, plus since you do use so much more fuel with E anyway you are still getting the alcohols cooling properties ect ect..

Yeah the Aem seems like the right choice, there are others but they are all pretty pricey for the most part and I have a Aem uego WB already ;)... I just don't wanna get a standalone and then I have no Idea how to change some of the things that need changing for my setup like the ignition dwell times ect...I can tune pretty well with RR but that doesn't mean I understand how to use these other EM systems...
