thanks guys! I spent the day working on the ice house. We got the rest of the walls ripped out along with the sink, stove, closet and counter. Re-did all of the wiring, replaced a rotten piece of floor by the door and cut 6 more holes. I've got some product to line the walls and the floor and then on go the new walls, hook up the propane and mount the tank so it doesn't get stolen and we should be ready to fish. Hopefylly the ice thickness cooperates, but with the cold weather this week it should be ready by the time it's safe to get it out. 14" minimum for the big dog.
Ie's an 8' x 16' house and had 4 holes - clearly not enough. Also the idiots that built it didn't put a vapor barrier between the carpet and the floor. Couple that with the ventless heater which puts a ton of moisture into the air, we developed a pretty nasty mold problem. The nice part about it is that we now have a clean slate and we made a LOT more room for ourselves. I hope to have it ready to hit the ice in a week. last week as of today:
