Here are a few. Hopefully the rest of the gallery will be uploaded and ready for viewing tonight. It has been uploading for about 9 hours now, but 700+ 6mb photos will take some time. If anyone is interested in the full size hi-res photo's, lemme know and I can get them for ya. Awwww.... And yes Carrie, there are others. Russ
Notice driver door mirror. With a little photoshop to crop out the people and zoom in a bit, MMMmmmm Russ
Notice driver door mirror. I think that is me driving, but i cant be totally certain lol, great pics! cant wait to see the full gallery! EDIT: it has to be me cuz mark was wearing a full face white helmet.
Great pics, thanks for taking the one of Ellie and the land owner. I just thought that was precious. The oldest person there and the youngest.
Here is the link to the full gallery. Sorry for the right click lock, but I have run accross 2 people selling (thats right, selling) my pictures. If you see something you want, let me know and I will get you the full size ones. Yes Kevin, that is you. Easy to see in the sequence of the pictures and with the full size ones. http://subiewrx.smugmug.com/gallery/5912559_rnUHa#367924828_hkcnp Russ
The rallycross was conveniently located about halfway between Brainerd and the twin cities. http://mnsubaru.com/forums/showthread.php?t=27594
Yeah, Russ posted it a few posts up. http://subiewrx.smugmug.com/gallery/5912559_rnUHa#367924828_hkcnp
Russ clearly has a hardon for carl's car. Understandable. Can i have 3, 12, 17, 54, 74, 272, 432, 597, 601, 606, and the one joel wants? Sorry about the big list, but i keep a pretty big folder of interesting pics from most of the events. Also, my dealership likes me to send them pics.
Not really that, its more like, Carl throws the most amount of dirt and sod. Being as people need to be entertained at all times, if people don't see alot of dirt being moved, it is boring. Most people can't appreciate what is happening in the pic, or the fact that the pic looks good (sharp, in focus, good color, all while the car is doing 30mph), they want to see dirt flying. So I guess my suggestion is, if you want more pics of your car posted on the internet, do more stupid things. Since I need to email out about 100 pics:laugh:, it might be a day or so before you get them. I will try to get a person or 2 a day. Russ
Ok, after reading through my pm's and realizing that I have 100+ pics to e-mail, it will be WAY easier to just open up the gallery. Leech away and if you make any money off of my pics, can you please split it with me?? So I will leave the gallery open for the next day or 2. I opened up the full size and the right click protect, so everything should be open. Russ
welcome to the world of pic requests. and yes, the key is to throw dirt/look "cool." as a fellow photog when you're shooting events you will take more shots of whatever conveys the most action
I used to compulsively stomp on the gas and turn the wheels to make dirt fly farther/higher when I saw someone shooting. I stopped that when I started getting quicker. I did get some very nice pictures that way. I still get them now, but more likely because I'm carrying momentum and blasting the dirt sideways.
Exactly. After the first 5-10 of each car, it just starts to look the same. And if * I * see it that way, everyone else is already sleeping, so you need to look for the dirt flying or try to get the cool shot. One of the places that I wanted to take some pics from was after the start straight, there was the little kink to the left and then the hard right and off for the next straight. If I had a spotter, I would have been in the little hole that everyone went around. I could have got some good low shots of everyone coming over the hill and some close up wide angle shot of everyone going through the right hander. Oh well, next time. Russ
They're mine, I just asked her to post the link while I was still in activation limbo... There're more in the set as of noon today. For some reason Flickr didn't select all of the pics I asked it to when I created the set, so it was missing 100 pics.
AH, you're the DSM guy...Emilys friend. :wavey:hey thur....thanks for the pictures!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
http://www.flickr.com/photos/randallphoto/sets/72157607219171774/ more pics i did not take I actually got hit with large clumps of dirt for this one... [/QUOTE]
The stiff sidewalls and square tread blocks do really throw stuff in a very satisfying manner, don't they?
