So the head lights finally got the best of me....the passenger headlight where the wiring got fried has finally given up. If I plug it in, the headlight becomes really dim BUT my foglights die. If i unplug it, both my fogs come on again BUT in the guage it shows that i'm on highbeam when im on low beam. So any thoughts? Im guessing if i replace the wiring itself it'll go back to normal?

probably a good guess. my driverside plug for the headlights has melted. i know what caused this and it was a real stupid thing i did. it caused the light to be intermittent, and would need to jiggle the connection to make it work. i don tknow what i did but know it works fine.

the melted connection happened on my moms 03 legacy, for unknown reasons.

check yuor connections and grounds before you decide to get all new wires.

its because of the high wattage bulb. replace the wires with some heavier duty wires

I was told from a subaru tech that the subaru headlight plugs are garbage and melt even with stock lights over time(he also noted subaru does not provide a replacement for them either). You can pick up a new set of aftermarket plugs from subaru for about 5-10 dollars each and its only two wires to connect the new ones.

my morrette knockoffs actually came with huge wires you run directly from the battery, seems like a good idea
