Got passed this on FB as Michael the owner is a friend of a friend. https://www.facebook.com/groups/theworldisfl4t/permalink/1338613319502618 Appears that Bryan Vinces of Cottage Grove placed a rather large order for parts, received them, and then processed a chargeback through paypal. While updating his facebook page, showing the parts installed. Looks pretty cut and dry here. Michael, the owner of the shop is offering him an out to fess up and either pay up, or return the parts in favor of not pursuing legal actions. Way more leeway than i would do in this case. Posting this as a heads up to the community that this gentleman may not be trustworthy.
Michael is a better man than I am, I ****ing hate scammers. I hope he gets bent over via the legal system to the fullest extent possible.
I'm lost as to how he was able to dispute the charges. Doesn't paypal call or contact the seller too? Sorry, never been in a situation like this. And this guy looks like someone who belongs on the MNSubiez page, no offense to anyone there who is on here.
I don't remember what number of humans/vehicles qualifies as mob action and such in Minnesota but I think we're very limited.
Surprise surprise! I hope that they impound the entire car and lock him up. Then auction it off and split the money up to everyone that he's ripped off. From the sounds of it, that may not be a very big payout to the victims tho.
Also, I think I have his home address, but I can't confirm it is the correct Bryan Vinces (won't post it at the risk of endangering some other poor Bryan Vinces) . If it is the correct Bryan Vinces, he was convicted of theft by swindle in early October too.
