Anyone going this weekend? It's in Park Rapids and it's one of the smaller stage rallys but tons of fun. I've gone the past two years and have had a blast. http://www.scca-lol.org/rally/headwaters/
Alright! I've been wanting to see that in action. I didn't get a chance to see it at LSPR because I was crewing. Another thing for people that are going. They are always looking for workers. You get to see the action and do a favor for them. If it's your first time I'll work with ya so you know whats going on
Kelly, NOOB course worker! That would be me. I'll be going up there with some friends. Hope to see you and the rest of the pack up there. Give me a discription of your car so I may be able to find you in the crowd. I'll be watching out for Mayhem as well!
hehe, kellys ride is a jeep cheroke. i wish i could make it up there but i wont be able since it my B-Day on sat, and i have family stuff to do
We will be hoisting a few as well to celebrate my 41st b-day on Saturday after the rally. I'll be the fat guy by the pool.
Yeah, look out for a red 97 jeep cherokee. I wish I could have the suby up there but it's all taken apart right now. But anyone going up for fun, work! It's so much fun. If you guys want, pm me for my cell number, or I'll see you at the c'mon inn talking to Mark about random stuff (and he'll probably be irritated with me ... jking.)
Damnit! I really hate to miss the rally and especially the post event drinking and story telling. The stories get even better when Mark gets a few 1812s in his system... Have one for me!
Working Sweep is the best job at a rally event! Chasing the rally drivers in 2 3.5 ton F350 and V10 Dodge Ram w/flashing lights and Hella brights on was a blast. We must of came through each stage at some insane speeds, going through some monster dust clouds and hang'n on for dear live side to side. And on top of that pulling rally cars from deep inside the forest. It was amazing to see what these rally drivers are willing to go through to take a win for the love of the sport! I got to meet former Crew Chief for Richard Burn's with the CPD rally team. He mentioned he was looking for few young good tech's that might be interested in joining his team and asked if I might know some. Ya missed a great event.
I was there with my dad spectating. We were up their to give RallySTI support and we rememberd when you drove by in the mustang. That RWD flug so much dirt at us, unreal. Lots of fun to go to the rallys. Gotta get the MNSubie people up to Ojibwe, we can make a meet out of it!
I have tried. Lots of hand raisers, but most of them end up being no shows. I have been to Ojibwe for the past 5 years. Best way to see the rally is by working. Russ
^I bet, i want to hurry up and take the right courses so i can do the rescue. Up at headwaters we got tod rive on the track after the cars have passed to go onto the next stage, its fun as hell driving around on those dirt roads. We were in our pickup which = light backend that wants to slide too much LOL. I bet being a racer would be wicked fun. I plan on being up at Ojibwe this summer, we definatly have to meet up!
We will see whos gonna be up there. But i will mark it on my calender and bring my dad up maybe if time permits. We might go dirtbiking again so we can kill two birds with one stone. Thanks for the info!
