Just read this on Digg: http://www.tmz.com/2008/01/22/heath-ledger-is-dead/ This is sad. I thought he was an excellent actor.
Can't wait to see the next Batman movie, especially the new Joker. I guess no matter how much $$$ you make life must still be really difficult to still be resorting to drugs. Really sad!
well, the loss of any human life IMHO is a tragedy. Especially a good actor who had actual passion for what he did, unlike a lot of hacks in showbiz.
I dont think anyone on this board would want to hear someone say, "big whoop" if one of there family members passed away.
what I've read is that the joker was scripted for the 3rd Batman movie as well. From what I read is that the storyline has the joker influences 2-Face. If thats the case, they're going to have to change the actor for the role or change the storyline. Either way its gonna suck.
It's gonna be weird watching Batman now, Heath Ledgers Joker was the thing I was most looking forward to. Now it's gonna be kinda sad. What I heard from someone I work with is that it was a sleeping pill suicide. Poor guy, sucks for everyone that knew or liked him...
write it down take a picture...you honestly feel for this guy? So many others die everyday and nobody gives a rats ass..can't say that I feel much of anything for him.. Oh btw if it weren't for him playing a badass role in the new Batman movie who here would still care?
Even though that's how u feel Hobo, someone dying whether they are an actor or not is serious...People die everyday, how would u feel if one of these days, someone close to you dies and I said who gives a **** since I don't kno the person... I'm sure most of us don't kno Heath, but I'm sure everyone here still has a heart...
My honest opinion: Its sad when anyone dies, but why all the concern over one individual that really didn't do all that much to better the world? I don't know the exact number of people that die everyday, but I think its safe to say its a ridiculously large number....we don't have threads devoted to each and every one of those people....hell.....the news doesn't have a story about each of them either. This was a celebrity, which in America, warrants the attention, concern and empathy of all of us. (or so the E! channel would have us believe.) We are a nation obsessed with celebrities. These people really don't matter. Death is sad, and yeah, if someone said "big whoop" when my grandparents passed away, I would have freaked out. But why all the concern about one person you didn't even know personally? (and from the looks of it, a selfish suicidal person at that.) my $.02.
I hear ya...but some folks just need to be a bit more considerate regardless of the situation. In this case "death" doesn't matter who it is...I dunno, maybe I'm over-reacting, but when someone says "big whoop" when someone dies whether u kno them or not. That shows me immaturity... IMO I guess alot of my outlook these days are different from 2-3 years ago...
Im sick of hearing about him, i dont know who he is or what he did was an actor or something but hes just another freaking human
is that with the ass up? On a serious side, everything I've read is that he was the most down to earth nice guy.
We all know it was the "brokeback mountain" that got to you Diz. And for what it's worth...I thought he was a great actor. Even when forced to watch a 'chic flick'(Ten things I hate about you?) with the woman, even then I was impressed with his acting. Very charismatic onscreen. Just wish he wouldn't have died that way. Sad.
^ yea i love that movie...thats what i remember him most from...i never saw brokback mountain. i heard the autopsy was inconclusive and further investigation is needed..he had such a hot accent. really sad to see him go.
yea they played a clip from a interview he did like a year ago and it was horrifying. He was talking about his little girl and that you give all you can till the day you die so that you know you have done the best for your child but you hope that the day never comes and you get to live every moment with them. He said thats was the one thing that made him happy was his little girl.
:yumyum::laugh: how u doin nate? hahah jk.. back on topic..when does his new movie come out? do you think they will delay the opening?
Meh not immaturity IMO just MO...Don't care for celebrities and never will, of course if someone within the MNSubaru community is suffering or has suffered a death in the family I would undoubtedly give my condolences BUT an actor psh...I have no connection with Heath whatsoever so why should I care? Is it immature not to give a rats ass about the lives of pampered celebs?
