Hello all! With my geographical location being only 11 miles south of the Minnesota border right on the Mississippi (Lansing, IA) I figured it would be safe to join this group! I recently purchased my first Subaru - a 1998 Legacy GT Wagon MT. Even with 158,xxx miles this Legacy is awesome. I've had it since the end of January & the way it handles snow is outstanding. I was planning to buy a new Forester X Premium MT, but the possibility of a diesel version in the next couple of year changed that. I figured that I would buy/drive an older Subaru for the next year or two & if the diesel engine option doesn't materialize in that time frame, I'll go with my original Forester choice at that time. I have been and will continue to do a lot of reading here & at other Subaru related message boards to learn as much as I can about my new found brand. looking forward to many years of enjoyment for my current & future Subaru(s) T.
