Think I found you all on the clubwrx boards region section. Been lurking here for a few weeks. Looks like a good group. I live in Fargo. I hang out at Rush Lake in the summer. Ottertail county. Ill see if I can get some pics up. Driving a 06 2.5I at the moment. Looking for a used STI or WRX. Might also be looking at new 09 if they can locate one that want. Going to make a run on dealers the next few days to see what I can come up with. Wish me luck. My Nova
Thanks. Yes we will miss the red one if I trade it. Should make someone else happy tho. Time to upgrade is now I think. Did a walk around on the nova when I busted it out of the garage this spring. That sucker fires right up no matter how long our winters are.
Welcome! I have an 07 TR WRX that's a little bit darker red. Always get great props for the color, like from Bullwinkle here and TonyM. Be careful! They might wanna steal it..
Would you like to trade Rex? lol. Man i hate dealing with dealerships. Ugh and finding used is really hard. Theres a few out there half are questionable and the other half are overpriced.
Welcome to the club! You'll have to come out to see the Ojibwe Forest Rally in Bemidji at the end of August. Some other ND folks comer over to volunteer and hang out. Its a good place to meet lots of MNSOC members and see lots of cool Rally racing. Amy
Welcome! Good to see another guy from the Red River area. If you're looking for a WRX within our immediate vicinity, just keep your eyes open and check everywhere, especially online. They're popping up all the time, but they sell extremely fast if they're in decent shape. Otherwise, there's lots of great cars for sale on the forums here if you're willing to travel to Minneapolis. Good luck in the search! Sweet cars btw, love the Nova especially.
Bemidji is a good time. I would highly recommend it. I'm sure I will be making my third trip out there for this rally.
I highly recommend that! it was a blast there last year and at LSPR! i have them both on my calender of things to do!!
Nope, no deal! Even if you compensated for the difference, and then some! But like they said, it's not too hard to find one for a good price, as long as you're patient but fast to act if one comes around. Kinda like fishing, really. Sometimes alot of "work" (drinkin beer and BSing), but when they take that bobber down, be ready to react immediately! Found my little baby at a stealership with one owner, 19k miles, and completely stock for $19k. Had 20 to spend, and the color grabbed me and never let go. It was a little difficult finding a private owner with no mods, so I opted for dealer.
Thanks everybody. I will be sure to put the ralley on the too do list. The nova has the orig 350. Was rebuilt before I bought it bored 30 over. Not to sure what they used rebuilding but it runs great and has between 5 and 8k miles on it now. My butt dyno would put it at maybe 300hp. Nothing to crazy. With the drivetrain and paint done when I bought the car I only had to redo the gutted interior. And get rid of the nasty green seats. Rims ditched the 80's keystones for 17in hopsters and low profile rubber. Next is rebuild the rear axle and Hotchkis susp. that will lower the car 2in front and 1.5 back. Any upgrades will have to wait till next year because ....... I think I might have a car on the way :eek3: 09 DGM WRX limited hatch. With a boat load of options. Wife is pushing it over used. I told her I didnt like the way new ones look from the factory and if we got one we would have to tint windows tail lights different grill and rims and tires. She said she had some $$ saved up and would buy the new rims and tires ....... WOW.
