    Need help/advice/suggestions!!
    01 forester 162,xxx
    5mt owned since 60k

Sitting at a stop light last Tuesday car started to run like ****! Misfiring and barely staying idling. Got to a parking lot looked under the car saw the cat section smoking figured the cat was clogged (CEL for cat has been in a while) towed it home. Ordered a new cat and replaced it. Still ran like crap.

Replaced plugs, wires and coil.... still ****. Checked and reset timing, still ran like ****.

Did more research which led me to injectors. Replaced injectors 1 and 2 since that was my only CEL after all the plugs and wires and coil. (blinking and pulled as Cylinder 1 and 2 misfire)
Just finished the injectors..... still runs like ****!

What’s next!? I’m starting to think the ECU might have took a crap??? But I’m really lost at this point because everything spark or fuel related for those 2 cylinders is new.

    Thanks in advance

The only components shared between cylinders 1 and 2 is the ignition system. I would test the coil, igniter, and the wiring for that circuit.
