I was tinkering with my HU today and as I went to put things back together I noticed that the cable the connects the 12V accessory power plug had come undone. This is the plug to the left of aux audio input - aka the cigarette lighter.

I looked forever to see where it came unhooked from to no avail.

Hoping a resident wiring expert could help guide me in the right direction.

    Thanks in advance,

    Sean

Driftin240 and I were both thinking it plugs in to the back of the radio. I see if I can find it in a wiring diagram.

Yeah, could be. I'm running a Pioneer AVIC D3. I suppose I could have unintentionally disconnected it while doing "Bypass" surgery.

Oh yeah, lost a screw down in there too. PHUK!. I'm sure that won't lead to an annoying rattle.....

I was just back in there and can't find sh!t. It had to be connected behind the airbag controls...couldn't reach the 12V outlet from the back of the HU.

Any ninjas with 07 wiring diagrams around here?

I really think that's the harness that would run from the factory head unit to the aux plug by your cigarette lighter socket.

I had hoped so but the weird thing is that the socket had been working with the AVIC installed from the start. It only recently became dislodged when I went back in to do "the bypass". There was nothing I unplugged from the AVIC to do the bypass and there are no holes on the back of the HU that could even receive the harness in question.

As it stands, I have no place to plug in my cell charger, etc. There is the Aux harness next to it but the harness is totally different and it feeds to a OE stereo harness that does nothing right now.

You know, I looked at that too but it definitely connected further back into the bowels of the console and not above to the ACC.

I used every curse word in the book this afternoon - even invented some hybrids - trying to get it fixed before going on a roadtrip tomorrow at first light.

    FOOK!

It could very well be for your shock sensor for your alarm. Arm it and hit your windshield...if it still goes off...then that's not it.

Wiring diagram puts it behind your radio area, and it's an 8 terminal natural (white) color connector.

Thanks for all the help. I think what I need to do is just find another 06/07 and just pop out the panel around the shifter and give her the ol' reach around to see where it hooks up.

So, who's got one I can look at?

    Nuke et al.

I am a massif idiot. You were all correct from the jump... I found the 4-pin power supply hidden behind the extraneous RCA cables for my new HU. The cable in question is for the Aux In to the factory HU.

Thanks for everyone's help buy you can't help stupid.

The RexNEfx will be heading to the Grimmspeed pain-cave when the crew returns from SEMA.
