So here is my problem. Whenever I make a sharp left turn, there is a loud scratching noise, like metal on metal scratching, or finger nails running across the chalk board. Just happened not too long ago.
Should I be worried about it right now? Or can it wait until spring to fix up? And what is it that is causing this?

    Any help would be greatful.

Never had the problem, but you should check it out.

I would start off with jacking the car and checking tires making sure they don't move.

Who knows it might just be brake issues.

Is the sound from the front or back of the car? I had this sound the first year I had my car and it was comming form the back. It went away so it must of been junk in the pads?

Could just be worn out brake pads. My wife's car would squeak on hard left turns and replacing the pads fixed the issue. Oddly enough, it didn't squeak when she was braking.

Make sure your stereo is at its highest volume.

    You're welcome.

Check the pads. I've had a tiny rock jammed in between the caliper and the rotor as well and it did exactly as you describe.

That's what i am assuming what it is, maybe something there that is making things touch or scrape.

You have to find the sweet spot in between the good noise and the bad noise!
