Alright, so I've been home since September. I need to go out and do something with my life.

I need you guys to help me find a place to live and a job. As long as the job is interesting I'll be set. Now I'm trying to figure out if I would be happy in an apartment or a townhome type place (in the Minneapolis area). A garage would be awesome, but I know that's kinda unlikely. I'm sure I'll come up with more details as time goes on but for now, this is what I know now.

So help me!!! help me please!!!

    :)

And the timeframe looks like this will happen in the next month or two.

    Haha!!!

Right now I'm just looking to stay busy, while I have a normal interesting job I can look for one in my specialty. Or you guys can find me a job in meteorology, I can't find any in the MN area :(.

readymix might need a roommate. if i didnt already have a "guy on the couch", it would be all yours.

i have a buddy that intern'd at KARE 11 and now is a weatherman on tv in eau claire at nbc. i could hook you two up if you wanted to chat.

There is an opening in my building and at my place of employment. I just got my first pair of days off back to back since sept. I NEED a fricken co-worker!. Yeah folks, we still haven't hired & I am still picking up a huge chunk of the slack.

Apartment, great location near McAlister College - the slot that is open is a demi-studio (almost a one bedroom) with nice space and a suck ass view. It is affordable.

Job - requires a 4 year degree in something sociological/ psychological/ or law enforcement related . . . . pay and benefits are sweet, the hours suck. You'd get to work with me 3 nights a week though & that should inspire you to run screaming for other employement.

I will probably end up getting a hold of readymix sooner or later. But that thing with KARE 11. I was about to send in a resume to them because the only met. job I could find in the cities was this... http://minnesotajobs.com/cgi-bin/j/..._id=813957&query=retrieval&keywords=&boolean= . So I'm probably going to take you up on that offer :)

If the readymix roomate thing doesn't work out I will probably see what I can do regarding that apartment. Unfortunately I don't have a sociaological type degree :( Thanks though :)

Hahah!!! Yeah, I sat next to him in my dynamic class sophomore year. I haven't talked to him in forever. How's he doing? And if you talk to him anytime soon, tell him to hook me up at KARE 11 ;)

I'll definitely think about it. I've been working in a salt water aquarium type store for a while and that's basically all sales. Thanks for the offer, I'm going to think about it for a bit and I'll see what I come up with :)

If I had a two bedroom apt I'd have you move in with me, I live directly across from Kare 11 north of Hwy 55. I'll talk to the apt manager and see if I could switch my lease around. I could lob water balloons over the fence if you're out in the "backyard" there. Might make for some interesting live TV.

Thanks for the offer. I think I'm going to go with the readymix place for now and if I end up getting the whole KARE 11 thing maybe we can figure something out because it would be really nice to walk across the street to work :).

I could swear that there's a local corporation, maybe the one that Paul Douglas was/is part of that does a lot of meterology/weather modeling. I want to say their offices are around Hwy 7/101 in the Minnetonka area.

Northwest Airlines employs Meteorologists, ther's a listing for a Senior Meteorologist here: http://www.earthworks-jobs.com/climate/nw7011.html (know that doesn't help, but somewhere that has seniors probably employs juniors too).

If I find others, I'll post.

Lol, I would pay money to see this ^

Seriously, we should start an MNSubaru "piss of kare 11" fund. We could put all sorts of assorted waterbased paints in waterballoons. Heck, I'd even help fund a giant super soaker just to shoot that dang "sven norberg" character they hired with kool-aid. He's great on the air but until I hear otherwise, I'm gonna bet hes an absolute tool in real life.

edit: I think sven is on channel nine...someone correct me.

I try to be nice to KARE 11...That was where I went on my very very first fire call when I was a green probie. I'd never been on a fire truck in my life and there I am in the back of the Aerial hanging on for dear life with lights and sirens. Belinda Jensen even came out and talked to us, it was pretty cool for a first fire call. They also do a lot to help out our Relief Association and Toys for Tots...That's got to count for something. And I don't think Sven is with them anymore.
