Help me make a GIF

So in the past few weeks i was trying to make a gif animation. I have both a video avi file and a few pics that i could use for gif animation, but i have no idea how to do it. I tried reading up how to do it in photoshop but could not figure it out. Can someone help me out here?

Looked at it and it seams it does not have it for mac.

 

If it works on linux it should work on mac. Bash is bash.

 

If you just need a simple GIF animation out of several images, check out gifninja.com. You don't need to install anything and it will make it online for you.
