Well, I really need to get my wagon into a shop asap. JUST discovered very small metal specs in my oil and as you could imagine I am freaking out. I'm currently 2 hours north of the cities in McGregor MN so Duluth would be closer, but if there are any recommendations for other places please let me know. I called Morries Subaru today and talked with a mechanic and he said it 'sounded' like the turbo was going bad (makes sense as I am reaching 100k and have no clue how the second owner treated the car). Wish me luck, I really hope its nothing more than a turbo replacement.

BTW, anyone have a ballpark estimate to how much this might cost me? I realize its not forsure just a turbo issue, but im curious on price. UGHHHHH

As of right now im thinking about flatbedding it to MAP mid next week. From what I've heard and having my neighbor in the cities John (who is on here) who used to be an MAP employee, it seems as if they do great work especially with Subaru's. any input is GREATLY appreciated. and if anyone has a refurbished P&P TD04 lmk!

"performance" shop? Beyond Archer racing, not much. And they do Vipers.

But for repairs, only guy that I'd let work on my cars without me there is Phil at SVS, Inc. on 23rd Ave and superior street. Great guy, and he does a lot of subarus.

I was thinking about them too but wasn't sure in what exactly they did. I'll give them a ring in the AM and compare some rates and see which place has less of a wait for service. thanks for the advice/shop recommendation!
