HELP somethings gone wrong....

    my 04 sti has some sort of problem.... when i'm pulling out of the driveway or practically backing up the car, there is a clunking noise when i press on the brakes... this happens every time when i press on the brakes... i have no clue on what the problem is... can anyone help me out???

    yes i have because i just put new tires on my car.

    yeah i also replace my brakes about a month and a half ago... anything else that i should check>???

    I think he meant to check them again, do you have any idea where the sound is coming from, is it a tinny sound or more solid?

    Check lugs... ball joints... and any suspension bolts

    its a more solid CLUNK sound... and i believe its coming from the rear end... you think it might b my differential?

    Make sure your pad bad didn't come loose or the hinges that press in from the top isn't loose that is.

    Sounds like it could be your rear struts are going bad. My brother had the same issue.

    ^^^ most likely cause...

    2nd step... pull wheels off rear of car adn retighten every bolt in the calipers etc.. process of elimination... ;)

    3rd... take it so someone to look at...
