this evening when i got home i tried to roll up my window. as i was turning the crank it didnt feel quite right, and the window was not coming up striaght and at a certina point approx 1/4 way up the window just stopped.

i now have my door panel off and am going to try to fix this. i think the window just fell off the track but i am not sure. if any on ehas any input pls post it up. windows arent my specialty. plus while the window is stuck down i cant drive my car anywhere for fear of rain or theft.

heres a pic of how the window tilts in

this is what happens when i roll the window up while the door is closed. it will stop like this becuase the back part of the window has already hit the weather stripping.

heres a pic of the window guts, i have tried messing with almost all of the bolts that relate to the window and i can not get it to align right.

I would check for any objects along the track or make sure the arms that are mounted to the window are full extending and not bent. This will all depend on how your window is setup.

well the window works again. my dad fixed it for me while i was at work. apparently there are 4 screws/bolts that hold the window track to the door. and all of these fell out.

i now have 3 of the original bolts back in, and the 4th one that holds the top of the crank gear mechanism to the door (preventing it from bending and tweaking when under pressure)ripped through its mounting hole so i used some washers a longer bolt and nut to re attach it.

now that it works i have 1 problem with it. when i have the door closed and i try to roll up the window it will go up about half way and then get very difficult to raise for about an inch or two then get easier (this happens no matter if door is opened or closed. also i believe this is due to the mechanism i mentioned before still flexing) the problem comes when the winow reaches the weather stripping at the top. normally the window would rol up and stay on the outside of this weather stripping. however no it will coem up into the weather stripping causing the window to not roll up completely unless i open the door to finish rolling it up.

i have never worked with window tracks before so i have no idea how to adjust the window any help would be very appreciated (i miss my window already)

Thanks (pic will come when i get a chance)
