I'm looking to buy some new springs for my 02RS, I want to get rid of the ugly wheel gap but still have a decent spring rate/ride. Eibach prokit? tien? prodrive? other? I want to keep it around or under 300 bucks so coilovers are out of the question. Any feedback appreciated.
I had an 02RS with the Prodrive springs on stock struts and loved them. Find a 20mm rear sway off an 02 WRX and you've got a great suspension for not too much money. It'll take care of the wheel gap, the car will still ride fine and you'll be amazed at how well it corners.
thanks, I was thinking prodrive or eibach from the start, and maybe a cobb or whiteline rear sway with urathane endlinks.
my current setup on my wrx is prodrive springs on stock struts, perrin rear sway and front and rear endlinks and it handles amazing for the money it costs. that might be somewhat due to the azenis 615 tires too though but anyway i highly reccomend the prodrives, spendy for springs but well worth it
not sure if they are the cheapest but mauromotorsports got mine to me right away and had free shipping at the time, they were about the same price there as anywhere else i found them, around $280 i think
I know this might not be easy for you, but u should try to make it down to firestone on friday night! you could see jake's with the prodrives, i have the eibach prokit "love it" his is a tad lower all around maybe 1/4 to 1/2 inch all around! Tim
Hey I was thinking about pretty much the same setup and have been driving on Azenis' the last couple months - are you in the TC area? We should meet up (firestone maybe?) so you can take me for a drive if you'd be willing... probably won't actually buy the kit for a few months but want to make sure it's what I'm looking for before I do. Email me if that's better for you... TIA!
yea, I wish I could drive down there after work some friday, but I always work late on fridays... work sucks.
