alright, anyone got any more ideas? i replaced the bulbs, replaced every fuse in the car... it keeps popping the same fuse, sometimes it will last a few days, sometimes it wont last even 10 seconds. i tried for 2 hours yestarday to find the short and i couldnt get the lights to go out... then when i needed the car lastngiht the lights went out yet again. anyone have any similar issues, any ideas as to what it could be at this point? my thoughts were possibly a short in the fuse box or maybe a cut somewhere and its shorting out... but i couldnt find anything anywhere when i was looking for 2 hours yestarday.

I would first inspect the contacts in bulb sockets to make sure they are not corroded. Then I would look at taking an ohm meter and check that none of the power wires have a short to ground.

yeah i cleaned out the bulb sockets and they looked ok now, but maybe i should work on those a little more even, i will also have to check the power wires for ground shorts. thanks

check you wiring that goes up to your third brake light, alot of the times on the wagons the wiring in that part on the pass side at the top of the hatch from going up and down so much the wires end up breaking, not sure if it would make your other lights go out too but its worth a shot. maybe a wire is grounding out up there.

no prob, when i got my wagon my rear def and 3rd brake didn't work, so i split open that boot over the wiring and found all of the wires were broken. but my lower brake lights still worked. but it's worth a shot.

yeah, checked more grounds and wires today, along with the sockets...all looked good really, i am thinking it might be a switch, i loose the tail lights, just the running lights, i still have turns brake lights.

    >.< if your sick of that problem just get rid of that fuse and put a wire in its spot.

Otherwise the cable probably tore or shorted with the twisting of your chassis.
