i have an 04 sti w/ stage 2 setup. k & n drop in air filter INVIDA downpipe to a blitz nur spec catless exhaust. also got an acessport tunning. on the acessport web page with the the set up i have it has 350hp to 385 lbs of torque. i am looking to upgrade my turbo and i was wondering what turbo out there would do me good vs my stock one. open to suggestion please help thanks
Well you are looking into at least 20G and bigger turbos if you want to see more power. It depends what you want to do with a car dd, rallyx, autox, drag race or just ocational spirited driving. I think any bigger than 20G and you will have hard time spooling your turbo (~4k) and that sucks for everything but drag racing. 20G will give you about 20-25whp over your stage 2 set up at the same psi. You could reach that goal by switching to E85 and stock turbo. There are a few people here run E85 with STI turbo and get close to 300whp and 350lb/tq.
Slow down, holy hell. What do you ultimately want from your setup? And more importantly, what are you willing to spend?
what turbo depends on what you do with it. Engine setup should be built around the turbo. You want your turbo to max out, and not your injectors.
