HELP!!! I sold my car and my dad is throwing a fit because the car is completely catless and the title is in his name and doesn't want to be screwed if something were to happen(Federal Law requires the vehicle to have all emissions control units in place). If anyone has a stock downpipe(both sections to fit an 02 wrx) I would love you forever if you sold it to me. I will drive anywhere to pick this up ASAP.
well....if privitly sold, I don't think it'd matter if you had a cat or not. BUT at the dealer, you have to have one in there because it's the DEALER...... I could be wrong.
No, it does matter. Because on the title you have to mark that to the best of your knowledge the emissions control systems are intact and fucntional. if you check yes, and they aren't, you can be arrested for fraud, and the new owner will be in a strong postion for a forced buy back. So if the turbo ever goes to hell, or the engine blows, the new owner can screw you because you said their were cats when there aren't, claim ignorance, and sue you for a forced buy back.
Exactly..... The only other thing I thought of, was making a document saying I sold the car with all emmissions devices with the vehicle, but the vehicle was fully catless for track use only, and have my dad, me, and the new owner sign it, and have the bank notarize it.
If your talking about your picture, thats the up-pipe, I have my stock up-pipe but dont want to swap that out, the down-pipe is alot easier, I need the 2 piece downpipe directly after the turbo. Thanks anyways.
i have both a catted and a catless one. however for the second piece all i have is a catless piece. i'm in maplewood.
I have a godspeed 3" downpipe, but it goes with the car, the ONLY reason im puting the stocker back on is for legal purposes, once the new guy gets the car he will put on the Godspeed pipe.
Sadly I cant just get one or the other, I need both cats, If someone has the last pipe directly before the cat-back that would work. I have a 1 piece downpipe right now that's why.

Cmon people, $100 to anyone that has both pipes in the metro area, or $50 a pipe if 2 people have different pipes.
I've got both stock pipes in my car right now... but i have a shorty downpipe. and i NEED a 3rd cat. but, if you say purchase a high flow cat, and have nathan fab it into my exhaust path i'll give you my stockers.
Oh, pm was sent to Wagonsrock, if I can find the 3rd cat from someone and they dont have the first pipe, I'll let you know, but I need that 3rd one.

I've got the full oem turbo back off my wrx just collecting dust in the garage. I was going to keep it "just in case" but it appears you need it more than I do! PM'ed
