So I decided to start tearing my car back to stock. I have a 02 wrx, and i have vf22, utec, exhaust, injectors, 255fuel pump. I figured I'd put stock injectors back in, put stock fuel pump, and take Utec out. leave exhaust and turbo for another day. Got everything back to normal, and when i started, it sounded like my engine was misfiring, or something. I started to drive and it spuddered a bit, didnt seem to want to go. then my CEL started to blink as i drove about 20mph. I pulled over, and sat and idled for about 5 min, and the CEL continued to flash. I turned around and went home. I remembered when i put my old fuel pump in, i used the same connector that was on the walbaro fuel pump, even though my stock fuel pump had a blue and white connector. The more i think about it, Im thinking that could be it. but im really not sure. anyone have ideas? Im gonna have to find rides till i figure this out, so i wanna get this figured out asap. it's late, otherwise i'd take fuel pump out and swap the wires. i'll try it in morn, but just wanted to see if anyone had ideas of what it could be...

It would have driven fine. If there is no boost or beating on the car its going to drive normal.

oh and a blinking CEL means that some bad things are happenning while its blinking.

if you have a boost controller, turn it all the way down... as far as the problem, it's running too lean for the turbo

are all the coil packs pluged in correctly

the blinking CEL is your car picking up knock from the sensor

i dont think the problem is too lean. if it was too lean it should still sound normal right? i did nothing with the spark plugs. so i doubt it could be anything with the coil packs. but we'll see, im gonna look at it again right now.

LOL LOL, just got back in from checking over my car. I've learned that i wont ever work on a car at 4am again... I forgot to connect a breather hose, AND one of my injectors. so... it's running good, still has a CEL, but i'm used to that -_-

Good job. Things like that happens when we're in a rush to finish the job.

On a side note, I still have the bolts for the OEM turboback I've sold you. Let me know if you require them and I can meet with you again to give them to you. (I try to take care of my customers. :) )
