Hello I'm kinda new to subaru I just bought a 2010 WRX Premium. I had a 1999 Legacy a few years back. Hoping to get the car then end of the week! I have a bunch of parts taking up space in my workshop and getting excited to put them in! So far i have springs, Perrin airfilter, DP, Exhaust gets custom built after next weekend, Cobb AP and a bunch of little things here and there. Only thing left to get is winter tires and maybe wheels so if anyone has a set of 17's that hold air and wont make my steering wheel shake outta my hands let me know cause i dont wanna spend much on winter wheels.
Welcome! Make sure to read up on the newbie thread especially if you're going to start slappin' on mods. Having run both the COBB AP OTS maps and having a protune, I'd do a bit of reading first as these cars are quite finicky responding to non-aesthetic changes. edit: http://mnsubaru.com/forums/showthread.php/16511-First-Modifications-FAQ
Yep and even with the AP, a lot is left on the table with the OTS maps. Each car is different and each person uses different style/brand mods. There is only so much COBB can do in the design of the OTS maps to guess what mod x and mod y will do. Getting a dyno or road tune is even better than OTS map if you want to get the most out of your setup and do it 'safely'.
You are going to love the heated seats. haha this time of year favorite part of mine toasty buns!! What did you get hatch or 4 door? What color? Guess I will see monday.
haha yeah i cant wait for the heated seats even my 2010 pickup doesnt have those. It a Osidian Black Hatch. Yeah i have looked at alot of pictures so now i wanna see it in person!
well i got to see the car today! but still not ready i'm hopin tomorrow but till i get my tires up here i'm in no rush(we finally got snow)
